Would not stay in any other hotel in the Costa Brava, we as a family have been using this hotel for the past 15 years. We have tried others, but although they may be more modern, nothing beats the service of the Maripins. we have stayed in Tossa, Salou, Blanes... but always return to the Maripins... 1st Class would recommend. You can get a good deal also by booking through Hoverland.

We have booked again to travel on 22 Aug this year, a group of us 10 in total, booked with Harry at Flimwell.Superb hotel, great staff and food to suit all of us. Kids are safe and plenty to keep us all happy.Must mention Pat on reception.All in all a brilliant time here cant wait to jump on the coach where our holiday starts!

Very good location, hotel was clean, bedrooms a decent size. Food was very good and certain evenings were "themed nights" - food from different countries.....brilliant. I have to say the staff here were the friendliest I have come across in Spain. In spite of the fact that I and my family have good manners we are not always treated that way by hotel staff. Also, at the time of our stay there were a couple of incidents of very bad behaviour which were clamped down on immediately. Thumbs up to the security staff. Will definitely visit again.

Stayed at the Maripins in September 2006 a group of 9 adults age 50+ excellent hotel for the money staff delightful from cleaners down to the reception staff nothing too much trouble, hotel floors shine like mirrors a credit to the cleaning staff, food out of this world best hotel in the Costa Brava we have stayed in entertainment suitable for the older person you will not be disappointed if you give it a try

Having been to Hotel Maripins twice, i thought i would review it so that other people know what a people friendly place it is. The staff were always smiling and joking, they created that fun atmosphere about the place. The hotel was perfectly situated near the beach! So it wasn't a long stroll there or back. The nightlife was brilliant, a whole street to walk down, with markets, pubs, artists etc.. even an English street! I highly recomend the Rovers Return, the landlord there had me in tears every night (with laughter that is). Definitely is an excellent family place!!! I will definatly be going there again!

Top Local Tips for Malgrat de Mar

Waterworld - A must! Definately go to Waterworld - this park is really good. If you're staying in Malgrat then you can book this with most hotels or there are booths on the streets to buy tickets. There is a free bus to get there and back. A must if you are statying in Malgrat De Mar!!

Nightmare on trains Be aware of rail work if taking the train to Barcelona. Spanish rail is horrendous!

Boat Trip to Tossa Whilst staying in Malgrat we took a day boat trip to Tossa de Mar and it was absolutely gorgeous! It is such a picturesque little place and well worth going to visit.
