Our parents had room 121, which leaked water from the room above when showers were taken. They came and mopped up the room and the outside corridor, but it was never fixed. Friends in room 19 had water coming up in the bath from other rooms and room 122 had a leaking toilet all over the bathroom floor. The plumbing is appalling and the maintainance non-existing!! The rooms are small and smell musty from the air-conditioning.The food is tasteless and everything with chips. The only good thing about the food was the fruit. There is daily maid service providing clean towels which WERE white. The entertainment is poor due to the foreign students they employ with no previous experience and there is no indoor stage area for their efforts. There are food/entertainment places near to the hotel, so take some cash if you want a good holiday. All inclusive - Nah, - all rubish.

To be honest its the worst hotel me and my partner have ever stayed in. Food was rubbish. Entertainment was was a joke. Rooms where really small.

I thought that Hotel Amaraigua was a great hotel and worth the money me and my botfriend paid for it. The staff were VERY friendly (except one) and there was a great choice of food to eat. There was good entertainment every night-for everyone even the kids. I had a great time there, overall i'd say it's well worth it's 3 stars!

After reading some of these reviews i thought that the holiday would be rubbish!!! The holiday was fantastic we could not ask for much better there was good nightlife. The hotel staff where really helpful and cheerful. In the hotel there were three young woman who done activities with the younger children. Each day for lunch and tea there was always something different and if you did not like the food there was always chips! Lol! I cant wait to go back there next year!!!

Top Local Tips for Malgrat de Mar
Barcelona Dont book a organised excursion to Barcelona as the train service is very punctual and very reasonable. A return ticket cost just over 6 euros per person (1.5 hours). Once in Barcelona purchase a T-Dia 1 day travel card approx 6 euros for unlimited Metro journeys and also the funicular train and trams. With a good map you should have no problems getting around to all the major sights.
The Astrix Club It is worth taking a night to go to the Astrix club which is an underground club near the hotel. They play electronica and dance and it's got a fantastic atmosphere with cheap booze. I think all the people in there were german but they couldn't have been more welcoming it was great!!!!
Train from Airport to hotel If you are able bodied, you can get the train from Barcelona airport to Malgrat for only 7Euros return. It does mean one change at Barcelona, but I will def do this next time.
