The worst hotel we have been to!!!

We have been on loads of holidays with teletext and the hotels have all been ok! Casion Royal was a BIG disappointment, the food was always cold, the only stuff they ever dished up was chips and tinned meat! we even had to eat out towards the end of the week because the resturaunt smell started to turn out stomachs! entertaiment was awfull day and night! 2 rats were spotted running along the patio by a group of us sitting outside in the evening! The bar staff were very rude! as for maid services our sheets were not changed the whole holiday and we only got towls because we asked for them! The hotel was no way near a 3* !!!!

Me and my girlfriend wanted a weeks holiday in Spain, we had been travelling all day and spoken to various people about where we were going to be staying.
When we got dropped off (11:00pm ish) we walked the whole way around the building but could not find the hotel entrance. After asking people from the restaurant and casino, who could speak hardly any English we got the impression something was wrong.
We then walked back through a alleyway near where we were dropped off and noticed in the poor lighting the Hotel name with the lights off and doors boarded up.
At this point I decided best to find somewhere safe as a group of youths were hanging around.
We managed to find a number to call after calling this I was informed someone would call me back and waiting 20 minutes they had decided to move us to a different Hotel on the otherside of Lloret de Mar.
Still trying to get at least a apology from them, teletext have refused to apologise as they just take the payments.

Good place to go. Very clean and nice staff! All staff were very friendly and helpful. (Especially Danny who made the holiday all the better for me!) food was okay but could have been better. The food in the snack bar was brill.

This was meant to be me and my friends first holiday on our own as we have just turnt 18, anyway we arrived at the hotel at bout midnite and the recepionists were rude as ever, then got in the lift (after bout 20 minutes waiting for them), one night i got suck in 1 with a bloke luckily i already knew him. We were on the 6th foor and the room wasnt what we expected, it smelt of damp and must, the door wouldnt open properly and we were facing a running track.
Now i will get onto the food it was cold and they served the same food every day so if u like pasta and tomato sauce you will be ok. We ended up eating out most of the time or not eating at all. There wasnt much to do in the day as there werent that much sun. in the night we wouldnt go down to the town as we got stop every 2 seconds with spanish people trying to get us to there clubs, one night i was walking through the town and loadsa spanish men grabed me and some enghlish bloke saved me! So we just stayed were all the english pubs were, if you like football then the best place to go to watch the world cup would be the queen vic as they have a big screen outside. On the last nite my mate cut her foot open on some glass in a pub but the pub had no first aid box as they used it on someone else the nite before, so we went back to the hotel and asked the security people said they had none as it was in the bar that was locked up!! And they said its not their problem as she done it a pub not the hotel, so we had to go make do with plasters and cotton buds in our room. We could wait to leave this hotel and we wont be going back!

Holiday from HELL

Where to start, Hotel was definitely run down, beds were squeaky, food was diabolical, same stuff served every day (always veal and some kind of offal/awful) don't even go there with the breakfast!!!.Sheets were not changed in the whole week we were there, maids dour as hell so no point in asking for help, hotel staff in general very unpleasant but that could be said for the whole resort, grunts and groans from all the Spanish people, prices in general very high. Opposite hotel a new bus terminus is being built so workmen there from very early in morn till early evening, that along with there being a main roundabout a couple of yards down road means it's very busy with noise and traffic, not exactly peaceful. Resort on whole full of Germans (very ignorant) and French (the older ones can enjoy your company).Now for the bars...went to Irish pub, they played 2 Irish songs for us then came up and said " we cant play Irish music all night, is there anything else u would like " so enough said was a quick exit, the queen Victoria a nice pub, pleasant staff and had a big screen outside to watch Big Brother. Finally the attractions, the marine-park is lovely with good shows and a cracking water-park but if your like me and don't like flumes your stuck for hours till the bus comes back, and the medieval night is just a total rip off,42 euros for a glass of red wine/orangeade/water, meal and entertainment, save your money and book a holiday to Benidorm, friendly people who actually want your custom...plenty of entertainment and mostly full of English speaking people :p

Only done a 3 night quick break, thank god for that! Having been to Spain many times, this is the worst hotel I have ever been to! I didn't sleep for 3 nights, loads of young kids 16 to 21, shouting all night, I would never take my kids here, it's a nightmare! Food was horrid, went to the H.top royal beach in Santa Susanna down the road, it was lovely, nobody had a good word to say about the place, dont book if you have children!

I just came back from this hotel with my mate and we had an excellent holiday! We were dreading it because of what everyone was writing but we thought they must have all been snobs and expecting 5star!! The hotel and the rooms were all very clean and cleaners came in daily. It was excellent value for money as we went for 2 weeks all inclusive and only paid 408 pounds so what more could we ask for? We made great use of this facility and found the entertainment in the hotel not our style so we went out clubbing which didn't bother us! It would be great for families thou and couples! We had a really good time and found no problems what so ever with this hotel so everyone who is writing bad things is wrong!

Gran Casino Royal is more of a family hotel than a youth hotel. Nothing to do in the day time and the security is strict on young people and will discriminate you if you are english. This hotel should not be 3*. The food is terrible, along with the service and rooms. The entertainment is of a poor standard and through my opinion, it is one of the poorest all inclusive hotels i have been in.

distance from airport be prepared for a long ride, hours from airport , picking up and dropping off on route
Never again I went there with my school, the place was horrible. Food disgusting, rooms are not safe enough anybody can cam into your room, just have to push door harder, balcony doors same thing. To much beds in one small room. In bathroom u don't have cold and hot water on the same tap.
Bus or taxi The bus station is across the road, most of the locals speak English. The furthest we went was Girona and it was €4.60 each.
