Top Local Tips for Lloret de Mar
pubs to visit there is a hotel outside the airport were you can wait for the bus to take you to llorett it only costs £8 euros per person it even has a beer garden.a taxi costs £45 euros one way. we were in grand central area there is a pub called braveheart were you can get a scottish breakfast which was lovely and they do quizes/kareoke ect and the queen vic and rob roy were good places as well music in queen vic took me back to school days and i am only 37!! would go back to llorett only downfall is weather you are not guarenteed the sun
Great nightlife Go to Lloret if you want great night life. It has good bars and clubs. But don't expect the drinks to be cheap. They are the same price, if not more than the uk.
Lovely atmosphere in the back alleys down by the beach If you like shopping, there are some good quality shops (not just beach / tourist tack) to be found in the alley way running parallel with the road along the front, and there is a lovely old church decorated with mosaics on the outside just behind (50 -100 yards up a side alley) and slightly to the north of the town hall, tucked away in the alleyways. The weekly street market was huge, held next to the casino building opposite the new bus station - but the part of it that I saw wasn't very inspiring, seemed to be lots of cheap clothing and tourist tack, but truth be told I didn't explore it fully, as it was raining at the time. If you like sculptures, then there are a good few to be found wandering around the front, and down the back alleys, as well as the statue of the fisherman's wife at the south end of the main Lloret de Mar beach. Plenty of graffitti down the back alleys, too, but none of it particularly inspiring from what I saw.
