The Hotel Casamar is in the most perfect location. Just steps from a lovely beach in a perfect Spanish cove. Small hotels all around lovely small restaurants - walk around the cliff on a nice walkway to the next beach with continued Spanish flavor. We enjoyed our stay here and are very likely to return. The price is excellent - the rooms are small but very clean , very nice view, and nice bathroom. The lounge and restaraunt overlook the cove. The food is excellent - make reservations well in advance. There are quite a few stairs up from the beach. This might be the only hindrance to staying here. If you want a standard hotel with pool etc this is not the place. If you want something alittle more 'Spanish' this is it. Enjoy.

Top Local Tips for Llafranc

Cashpoints! There is only one cashpoint in LLafranc (and that didn't work..lol) and no bank...so you have to go to Palafrugell for cash! Take cash with you...the Hotel has a safe to use...so no worries. Also..most shops/restaurants take most cards now. We went out of season and would definitely go the same time again.

visiting other resorts It is possible to travel from Llafranc without a car to visit other places, but it is just a small resort, and a car would enable one to get around more easily and visit other places. There are exceptionally attractive coastal walks, and this is a very beautiful scenic area. It is certainly not a commercial resort in the sense of some of the resorts on the Costa Brava. It is unspoilt.
