Usual 3* hotel

We stayed at Olympic with our 3 foster sons 16,16, 15. It was typical of a big 3* hotel in Spain, small rooms, 2 beds, bathroom, balcony, telly. The view from the front was just the street and other hotels, but you do get the sun on the front of the hotel most of the day. We were all-inclusive, but it was poor trying to get a drink. The card you were issued with on arrival had to be swiped when you got a drink. This caused big queue's to form. The drinks are served in plastic tumblers, which holds about a third of a pint, and all spirits have tons of ice in them. There is a big bar area, but it's brightly lit and the entertainment is very basic, mostly loud music for little kiddies. The food was horrible, not much choice, chips, the usual meat dishes, and all luke warm. We ate out most of the time. The resort itself is quite nice, plenty of bars, and restaurants, and there's a good Chinese buffet style place, which is good value for money. The old town was lovely, old Spain narrow winding streets packed with bars, restaurants, shops, fantastic old church. Going there at night was the highlight of the holiday. There's lots of pageants and historical shows, one involved the firing of old muskets was spectactular and very loud!! The beach was nice with loads of beach bars with music and toilets. One drawback was the railway line which runs parallel to the beach, and you had to go under a tunnel to get to the beach. There's also a tram which looks like something out of 'thomas the tank engine'but for about 2 euros. It would take you all around the town, and you just hail it and it stops anywhere.
