We booked a cheap late deal on teletext and were told The Hotel Amaika was our hotel. When we arrived, we were shocked at how lovely the hotel was. Friendly staff to check us in and the room was great, nice and clean. The entertainment was good and the bar staff were great always pleasant and polite. We went all inclusive and it was definitely worth it. We shall be going again!
Minted:)!!!

Well I have to say I have been blown away by my w/end stay at the Hotel Amaika.
I went with a party of 8 and 4 of the travellers have been a few times and said that the Hotel was good so myself and my partner decided we would join them.
We arrived at 10am on Sunday and the hotel was out of this world. The staff were very helpful and very pleasant to say the least. We could not check into our rooms as they were not quiet ready so we were told to leave them in a specified room.
We made our way to the bar for a well deserved drink and plenty to choose from through the day and night and if you're a drinking person I'm sure you can make your way through the top shelf.
The restaurant was excellent a great choice of meats, Fish, potatoes, vegetables, salads, pasta, sweets and a veggie options always on show and there was plenty there to feed those fussy with food.
The town itself was fairly quiet but that's not a surprise at the time of year but there is a train station that can get you to near by resorts.
The rooms were beautiful, clean and tidy a working TV a fridge and if you wanted a mini bar it was available at a cost.
The hotel entertainment wasn't brilliant but we were in great company so we entertained ourselves and some of the hotel.
Would definitely go back for a w/end break I give it a thumbs up :)

We stayed at The Amaika from 24 - 31 July 2006 and were initially very concerned and almost dreading the holiday after reading the reviews. We had already cancelled our reservation at The Olympic after reading those reviews and asked to be swapped to the Amaika. We did not pay a huge amount of money to go and were expecting nothing apart from it being chav land! But we were pleasantly surprised and had a lovely holiday. We were a group of 10 which consisted of my husband and I (in our 30's) our 4 children (3 - 9 yrs) my mum and dad (in their 60's) and Aunt & Uncle (also in 60's). We all enjoyed the food and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and there was more than enough to do. Calella itself was busy and interesting with plenty to keep all in the group occupied. The beach was great and close by. The pool and more importantly the area around it was too small but if you were prepared to queue up at 9am to get a couple of sun beds and sussed out that people just ran out the door and threw a large pile of their towels on the nearest bed you were ok and we got a table and / or 2 - 4 sunbeds every day we tried. We had a nose in a few surrounding hotels in the area and their pool areas seemed similar. The kid's club staff were excellent and I have no hesitation in recommending the Amaika.
Cheap Holiday

My family and I went to the Hotel Amaika for a weeks break. We were quite worried after reading some reviews. The resort itself didn't have much in it; I am used to Majorca where you can go a walk along the beach at night with nice restaurants and shops to look at. Callela itself had shops but they were all cheap and nasty. I went with my husband and my two daughters aged 15 and 17 and they were bored! The hotel was spotless and with the titanic theme it was very posh. We went all inclusive and got into the Jacuzzi and steam room for that. The food was disgusting for my taste although others did enjoy it!!! If you go with any kids go to the small bowling alley at the top of the road its great and you can also play mini golf. We went a trip into Barcelona that was great and we also visited Barcelona football Club i.e.; the Nou camp!!! The pool is small but is adequate. All in all it is not bad if you moved the hotel into Majorca that would be great!!

What can we say, fantastic!!!!
Just came back from a short but brilliant time at the Amaika, all staff were top, you couldn't fault a thing. The food, drink, service presentation of the hotel everything was as it better than ever expected.

We have just returned from the Amaika on 25th October. It is a lovely hotel very clean, spacious bedrooms, lovely food lots of choice. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful, some are not!! The entertainnment was mixed half was brilliant the other half very average. Excellent place for couples, nothing really for children could do with a pool table or table tennis, however the kids were happy and made lots of friends, and they kept themselves entertained. I would highly reccommend the hotel and will certainly return.
MUST GO HOTEL!!!

I visited the Amaika for a week and found it to be magnificent. The food was lovely and you could not fault anything. The Amaika was the cleanest hotel I have stayed at. The gym and sauna are brilliant. The hotel is central for shops. GOING BACK NEXT YEAR!!
