Fantastic Hotel from the time we got there till the day we left, the staff were great and very helpful, the hotel its self was immaculate and the restaurant was superb with a great choice of dishes to suit everyone's pallet. The rooms are also very nicely laid out and well kept by the cleaning staff. There is always something going on at the Tropicana Gardens for the Kids and Adults at night. I can only praise the Amigo Group for this Beautiful Hotel.

just came back from a one wk all inclusive with First Choice, never again. The rooms are nice and clean but not secure, a number of people had things stolen and while there's security sometimes, if anything goes missing your on your own. The food is awful although i did have 2 good meals, it's 24hrs drinks, not food as stated and when the 'proper' bars close the self service one is opened. You have 4 optics, vodka, rum, whisky n gin, pepsi, orange,7up and a coffee machine. Great,as long as your not drinking the same drink cos you'l run out, and there's no one to replace it, or to help out when the trouble starts, to much drink so the fighting starts, or the fighting starts cos there is no drink! The entertainment is not entertaining, its like a bad re run of hi de hi.
Bennidorm has a lovely beach and plenty of bars which are'nt dear so go self catering, you'l have a much better time

We were at the rock gardens for one week party of 20 ages ranged from 70 to 12 on a 24hour all inclusive basis. We paid 330 each with first choice flew from gatwick flights both ways on time and good. mini coach took us right up to the hotel door.We had 9 rooms 3 suites and 6 standard rooms the standard rooms are fine for 2-3 the suites are enormus and could sleep 6.The food was good on some days not so good on others but you could always find something the desserts were very good the 24hr booze is 24 hr and after 3 days we all had to slow down. The staff were some very helpfull some very rude the cleaning was average.now the bad bit The rooms are very unsecure 2 of our rooms were broken into and cash taken we also heard of 6 others DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING OF VALUE IN YOUR ROOM there are saftey deposit boxes in the rooms and these seemed ok the hotel dose have security guards but once things have been stolen you are on your own this holiday was value for money benidorm is nice and most of us would go back again. The best bar we found was the triangle pub, down the road. Brilliant karaoke, the steep hill was no problem for any of us. We went out for tapas and went to the far end of the resort. To a restrurant called Porteus for my son 18th birthday. first class spainish meal. a true taste of spain.
If You Have Booked and Not Travelled Yet - Change Hotels

Before you read trhis please note: I am not a snob, I am not a kill joy, I am not a prude. I can "rough it" if need be but........................
A party of 10 of us have returned from this hotel today after staying for 7 nights over Easter. My wife and I and 2 children are seasoned travellers to Spain, and have been to Benidorm many, many times always having a great time - even in the cheapest of appartments. But, not this time!
Our firends and their 4 kids had never been to Spain before and, after this trip vow never to go to Spain again. Magic Group - take responsibility and act on the feedback.
Whilst we were fully aware and prepared for the steep walk up to the hotel ( good excercise but very steep), we were not prepared for the frosty reception we received on arrival (11.15pm). That frosty reception continued for the full week from most of the hotel staff. We were lucky to get a smile from the bar staff, the catering staff or the reception staff. We actually stopped tipping in the hotel after day 2.
However, I can partly understand (but not excuse) why the hotel staff are that way.
If you have never experienced "Brits Abroad" then visit this hotel during school holidays. Youngsters (thugs?) up untill all hours creating havock all night long - throwing other youngsters and sun beds in the pool at 4 in the morning whilst screaming and shouting. Bad language prevails - even in front of their parents. Playing football in the corridords, breaking glass top tables in reception - then, the parents shouting down to them to make less noise (at 4 am)!!!! The people in the residential block next door even came out at 4 am to see what the noise was. But, guess what? The hotel staff / security didn't!!
Whilst the food wasn't terrible, it wasn't good either. We could just about manage to find a meal each day although to be honest we ate out for most of the time because of the lack of choice and the poor food quality. The canteen staff (because that's what is really is), offer the same poor service as the rest of their colleagues.
The rooms are quite nice but there were a few break ins during the week. Maid service is adequate but very hit and miss.
In conclussion, if you enjoy a beer swilling holiday with poor quality food and service, coupled with break-ins, sleepless nights, noisy badly behaved foul languaged kids (and parents) - then book to stay here.
If you have paid in full and have to go, request a change to the Villa Benidorm (not much better but at least there is no hill to climb). If you have paid a deposit only then cut your losses - book a cheap appartment instead. If you have not yet booked then don't!

I have just spent a week at this hotel with my daughter and grand-daughter,we went dreading the holiday because we has read some awful reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. THE GOOD POINTS: very friendly and helpful staff, reception staff all spoke english(some better than others) checked in very quickly, room basic but clean, no balconies, maid came in everyday, linen changed mid week, plenty of towels.(walls rather thin) WE WENT ALL INCLUSIVE,you can eat and drink 24-7 completely free of charge, although sometimes the food was abit iffy you could always find something and their was plenty of it. DRINK!! when they say local drinks they don't just mean beer,wine and sangria, they mean local vodka,gin,brandy,rum,whiskey,malibu,tia maria etc. you go to the bar with your card and they give you HUGE!! drinks or you can go to the self service vending area in the reception bar and help your self to spirits and soft drinks 24-7. They also operate a system were you can use the facilities in the other hotels in the group free of charge THE VILLA BENIDORM WAS LOVELY AND JUST 6 OR 7 mins.WALK.(BUS PROVIDED TO TAKE YOU TO OTHER HOTELS) Also the hotel guests got to go to a medevil dinner show at no cost (normally costing 43 euros per person) THE NOT SO GOOD POINTS: the location is very hilly, the hill up to the hotel is short but steep, I managed it with just one stop for a breather halfway and I am overweight and have asthma.There are about 20 steps up to reception but there is a lift on the outside to take you to that level. The pool area is pleasnat, plenty of sunbeds but lots of steps up and down,, THE POOLS WERE FREEEEEEZZZING!!! (but the beach is just 2 mins down the hill and 5 or 6 back up) if I go back to Benidorm I would use the same group but would stay at the VILLA BENIDORM, mainly because it is on the level and smaller.
ENTERTAINMENT: The entertainment staff were very friendly but the entertainment acts were so so !!
Oh!! I forgot to mention that when transfering from the airport the coach cannot get up the hill but they drop you at the nearest point and have taxies waiting and PIAD for to take you and you cases up the hill to front door.
I RATED ABOVE AVERAGE BECAUSE I THOUGHT THE OVERALL PACKAGE FOR WHAT WE PAID WAS VERY GOOD, ALTHOUGH I HAVE STAYED IN MUCH BETTER HOTELS.

I have just returned from staying at the Monika but we visited this hotel most days for a drink or a meal or both, the staff were very nice and the hotel was stunning inside, you would not believe you were uin Benidorm, it reminded me so much of a hotel we stayed in in Mexico, the enterance is not deptessing, it is very smart with wicker tables and chairs covered with soft leather cushions, the restautant was superb with only subtle lighting, the show cooking and deserts were so very tasty, the bar area was very nice and you have the choice for waiter service of help you self, with all the usual spirits, wine, beer and soft drinks on tap, the whole area was none smoking bar the back end of the hotel which was a designated smoking area, it was very nice to be offered a plate of biscuits and a glass of champagne every time we visited and to be treated very well, we asked to look at a standard room and thought they were very nice. I will visit this hotel when we return next year.

Magic Rock was the only Hotel we have been to in Benidorm , but now lene and roberto have been sacked we shall never go again the New Management should be ashamed of themselves the duo were good , not only did there own work but helped out with other work as well , Our 35th wedding anniversary as been spoilt we were coming 4 it in april but not now thanks to the new owners we shall never come again unless lene and roberto are reinjstated , mr and mrs k dunn

I stayed at the hotel we were a party of ten with ages ranging from 7 to 60. All in all it was a great hotel, I was dissapointed with the family room as it was two single beds a put me up bed and a sofa bed in one room, So there was no privacy from my two children. The food was fantastic and pretty varied so there was always something to take your fancy. The worst thing to let the hotel down was the awful entertainment, the kids disco played the same 6 or seven songs everynight followed by two spanish singers who were appauling, So we took the kids to don Panchos to watch captain Britain who was fantastic with them and they loved it, As for the hill to the hotel it is a pain but after all the food we consumed it did us well to walk up and down it. All in All an excellent holiday, The only thing that would stop me returning to this hotel is the entertainment.
If you go all inclusive please go to the free medievil night it was amazing we all loved it its a must and its free.

First of all the hotel and the staff were first class one of the best hotels we’ve been to but I must say to anyone with any sort of walking difficulty’s that this is not the hotel for you which is a real shame when we arrived at the hotel the bus refused to go up the bank to the hotel and dropped us of at the bottom of the bank you are expected to carry all you luggage up the bank yourself and believe me it is not funny at all
For those with problems walking you tend to stop in the hotel at night and I must say that the entertainment has a lot to be desired
PS. If the hotel owners read this sort out the transport to the hotel and the entertainment and you will have a first class hotel to be proud off

Cafe Benidorm & stardust. CAFE BENIDORM,What a bar/club. plenty going on. Something to suit all. Fab atmosphere, brill music & plenty of drinks. And it's open from 7 in the evening until 8 in the morning. STARDUST, is a small bar around the corner which has tribute bands showing. Go along here to watch TIMELESS tribute to Soul/Motown. They on stage at around 1 in the morning and are well worth watching.
