I stayed at the Cristal Park in October 2008. This is the third time I have been. It could do with a revamp but nevertheless the food was as delicious as ever, the staff were efficient and polite and the rooms were clean. However, there was not much in the way of entertainment. Yes, I will be going back next year. I think it's good for groups of friends and couples but not much to do for kiddies at this time of year (kids club closed). Don't let the bad reviews put you off, this hotel deserves its three star status.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my entire life. 3 star not a hope. We consider this to be sheer fabrication and would struggle to be re-classified as a 1 star hotel. I have stayed in Bed and Breakfast or youth hostel accomodation of a far higher standard. The staff can't speak english very well (not their fault and we did try to speak spanish). The entertainment is a joke. The air conditioning doesn't work the hotel needs knocking down and re-building. A suitable suggestion as a replacement would be a multi storage car park. Due to it being boiling hot all week in the hotel we dreaded coming back to it. The air conditioning in the room was so loud it kept us awake all night. The food was over cooked, bland and was left out for hours and was the same day in day out. I can't understand anyone saying it was fantastic unless they had never known anything better. We have and believe me are not total snobs, we go camping on a regular basis (guess what we will be camping in future).

I read many reviews on this site and others and read so many bad experiences i was dreading going to this hotel. My advice to anyone who reads this is judge this by your own experience. Well all those bad reviews i read could not have been more wrong. Our family totally loved our holiday and this hotel. It is very clean and tidy, staff and very friendly and helpful. The maid comes every day and tidys the room and makes the beds and you get fresh sheets every couple of days you can get fresh towels every day if needed. There is a fantastic choice of food in the restaurant. As for the entertainment there is a different show on every night and the staff are fantastic with the kids. My kids really loved the kids club. They say the people make the holiday in my case the entertainment team made my holiday and gave me so many memorable experiences. I can not compliment them enough and would definitely go back.

Well we live over here so we just went for a weekend break. To me the hotel itself was average not really anything to write home about. but what is good about getting the all inclusive is the little card you get ...
This entitles you to eat and drink in any of that groups hotels so you have to be stuck to the one spot. We had a great time with outdoor roof spa etc etc we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves..

We have just returned today from the Cristal Park hotel, the weather was great, the resort was great but the hotel wasn't so good, we went All Inclusive which we thought meant that we got everything but this is not the case, you have to pay for crisps, slush puppies etc, also you must like sausages as you get them for breakfast, lunch snacks and Dinner. Also the entertainment was a great disappointment, it is definately not for young couples. I also spoke to some families with young kiddies and they all commented that there was nothing for the kids to do.

Very enjoyable holiday

After reading the reviews on this website we were very apprehensive to go on holiday!!!!! However, the food was excellent, we had a large twin room with park view and took full advantage of the free bus service to the other Magic Hotels. Didn't get the opportunity to take advantage of the Medieval night (which was free), however, we spoke to a few other holidaymakers who said it was excellent. Would highly recommed the Magic Excalibur for families, the pool, soft play and slides were excellent. I would agree though about the maid service which was quite poor. Would not necessarily go again but had a very good holiday!!!!

we've just returned from the cristal park hotel, benidorm.The location is excellent-only five minutes walk to the beach.There was a wide selection of food to choose from (we went all inclusive),to please everyone.(one of the best hotels in the group.)The rooms were cleaned daily but were basic and had no balcony.Our room was on the main busy street and it could get quite noisy first thing in the morning.The air conditioning did not get turned on until June! and it was very warm during the nights.The indoor pool was situated on the 7th floor with the jacuzzi.The kids pool and playground were under refurbishment so we were unable to use them.-however we could use the facilities at the other amigos hotels in the group-try the pool at the monika hotel-excellent! There is also a kids club but there doesnt seem to be many organized activities- they seem to leave them to it.Despite all this I think it was a good value for money holiday and we would go back again.

Myself and my mum went away for 4 days to have a break.
We stayed at the Cristal Park as it was value for money and the location looked great. I had read good and bad reviews and thought we would give it a try. For £25 per night all inclusive I was plesently surprised at the service we got for so little money.
On arrival we caught the alicante bus to the hotel with only 2 mins walk, easy to find. We arrived late night and we checked in without any fuss. Our room was large and clean. We decided to check out the bar before it closed to find out it NEVER closes.
The reception sometimes did smell of fumes from the road - but how many people sit or stay in reception? The bar at the side of the reception didnt smell and was a good meeting place.
The hotel is on a busy road, however if your room is on the back of the hotel its quite, the front is a little more noisy. When closing the window no noise can be heard.
The rooms where large and clean. Maid service everyday. If you are in bed when the maid calls - they always come back. I have found in other hotels that once missed the maid they dont return.
The food was great. So much selection to eat. I find I can be a fussy eater, but there was plenty of selection and all tasted great.
The bars are great, 24 hours so you never go thristy. Entainment until 2am and then music behind the bar 2am until 8am. The staff are really good, remembering what you drink really quick serving, giving plenty of sprits. You can upgrade for a small charge to Gold all inclusive which is named brand sprits. The staff are always in good sprit and very helpful even after long hours they do and at 2-3am in a morning.
The roof bar and pool is good, but in April the child playground was being refurbushed therefore alot of the children was in the main area. With the all inclusive program you can eat and drink at between 10 and 15 hotels in benidorm.
There is a free bus that circles the hotels. We used to catch the bus in a morning to the benidorm hotel and spend the day at the pool there and return on the evening bus.
Each of the Magic amigos hotels have good points and I would and am certainly returning to the Cristal Park again in the furture.

Nothing magic about this hotel. Having just arrived home after an easter break, The reception area smells of fumes from the traffic outside. If you want any sleep at all this is not the hotel to be in. Constant noise of cars sounding their horns goes on all night! Food was average, its a battlefield to find a table in the restaurant (canteen). Glad to be at home and would not go back to this hotel.

this is the first time i have been to benidorm and i am very glad i stayed in cristal park. they were good at dealing with such a large party there was 13 of us of all ages. there was variation with the food and also the free drinks were good choice as well. its just next door to two newsagents one of them being a 24 hour shop. the only thing that annoyed me was that i seen the staff everyday 3 times a day for a fortnight (do they ever get time off) the night entertainment was varied except for billy val williams who pretends to play the guitar, he does that badly. also at the time of the year we went is the festivals of their saints so there is a lot of spanish people also staying in the hotel. watch your backs. (very ignorant) overall a very pleasant holiday.

We stayed in Cristal Park for 2nd time this february.We had a great time. Room was clean and warm.Staff were excellent,food was really good and varied.Entertainment could be a lot better but weve seen far worse in Blackpool(thats in those hotels that provide any.)Ive seen some comments on this site and others slating the hotel and staff-however how some staff put up with some of the very rude customers baffles me. In this country for instance they would be put out of the hotels bags and kids as well. When we were there the hotel was very busy-valentines weekends-all nationalities,plenty of spanish as well and every one seemed to enjoy themselves. So if you fancy a visit dont let some miserable b`s put you off.Road outside is busy but its benidorm not morecombe there are plenty of people there.

We stayed at the Cristal Park over the Xmas period and had a great holiday as usual. This was my fourth holiday at this hotel. I like the hotel for its central location on the edge of the Old Town. The food and variety of choice is excellent definitely the best choice and volume within the Amigos chain. A slight down side to the Hotel is the very dark and drab interior of the bar area/sitting room and the distinctly 2nd rate entertainment. I always stay all inclusive which is great for when you are out and about in Benidorm and allows you to just pop into one of the other hotels within the chain and continue to use your all inclusive facility. The Magic Rock is best for sunbathing, the Fenicia is the most comfortable and serves the best Baileys, the Villa de Benidorm is great for stopping off for food and drink whilst visiting the market and go on the free bus to the Monika if you have kids. I personally visit the Cristal Park for the value, location and food/drink but then I go out every night for the varied entertainment within Benidorm. I am going back to the Hotel the first 2 weeks in February 2006.

My husband, my six year old son and I stayed at the Magic Cristal Park over Christmas this year and had an excellent time. The staff were very friendly, efficient and very helpful. Our room was basic but clean and we had a view over the Park. The food was excellent and very varied and catered to everyones taste. We had a sit down five course Xmas dinner on Xmas night which was followed on by entertainment later that evening but we did not attend this. Santa was there for the kids and provided every child with a present and they also ran a kids disco for an hour in the evening. I would recommend this hotel and would certainly go back again in the future.

Went and stayed at the Cristal Park Hotel from December 19th until December 26th with my partner and 2 teenage children and we had a great time.
The hotel was great as was the staff who were very friendly.
We had some great food and especially the Christmas dinner, the staff went all out to make sure everyone had a good time.
The only two disappointments were there was only one english channel on the tv and the entertainment could have been a bit better, although we were not very far from the clubs and saw some good comedians and singers and some drag acts so had a brilliant time.
We went to the medieval night and would recommend that you go there at least one night during your stay, you won't be disappointed.
The maids made sure that we had clean towels every day and the room was left spotless.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be in the middle of the town to enjoy the shops and the local entertainment.

Stayed at the crystal park from the 15th Oct for a week with my nine year old niece and my mother. Ive never been to Benidorm before but i have lived in Spain for a year in 2003. The crystal parks location was excellent, very central, about a min from the shops and about 5 mins straight down the road to the beach. We were allocated a first floor room which was great as not many lifts and always full so we used the stairs all the time. The room was basic but clean, towels changed daily. Was difficult to get enough toilet paper and we resorted to buying it from the shops. The only complaint about the room was it had no balcony and no air conditioning. If you left the window open you had all the noise from the busy main road.
The resturant was always busy, difficult to get a table. Plenty of food and drink which was all self service. The food was mainly tailored towards the spanish guests. I am vegetarian and you can imagine what a nine year old will eat so it was pasta and chips every night. Well sick of food by the end of the holiday. Visited pizza hut and mcdonalds a few times. If you can eat anything you will be well pleased and the hot food menu did change every night.
The pool was ok. On the roof, small and too deep for children. There was no loungers around the pool for you to keep an eye on the kids. Not enough loungers on the terrace for the size of the hotel, we were all split up whilst sunbathing.
The amigos card and bus is a great idea especially when you are all inclusive. We used the bus and visited the Magic Rock, Tropicana gardens, Villa de Benidorm, Monika Holidays, Fenica and Monika Holidays. We ate lunch or dinner at these hotels at least once. Their resturants are smaller but the same variety of foods. We were told by the reception at crystal park that there was no point going to the Magic castle as no food there which we found out too late was not true.
All in all had a good holiday. The cristal park is central, the amigos bus will take you elasewhere if you want to go. If i was to return to benidorm i would stay there again. Best of the bunch i think.

Top Local Tips for Benidorm
getting into benidorm by bus when you arrive at airport walk out of arrivals door and straight ahead there is the service bus which will take you into benidorm for 7 euros each way drops off on main road where you catch it back on other side of road cristal hotel is approx 10 mins walk a couple of streets behind the bus stop or get a taxi for a few euros a lot cheaper and quicker than paying for transfers trailing round dropping every one else at thier hotels
IRISH BARS Visit some of the irish bars. The Bodhran Bar is especially good with entertainment by a good singer, mainly irish music but takes requests and will sing anything. The Guinness bar on the seafront is good also has bands playing recommend Cabeytu Brothers.
Benidorm Benidorm has got something for everyone!! Beaches are beautiful, Weather was lovely and there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. Just be wary about taking young kids up the new town part late at night, drugs and all sorts availble. Enjoy xx

on our way up to our room on the 6th floor we waited for the 2 person lift but the spanish overtook and we took the small 4 person life the lift ratteld , shaked and was very scary poor us .
the room's were ok but the bed sheets were not once shanged over the whole 2 week holiday and some possetions went missing the bathroom has no window an the shower was growing moss . the patio door would not lock and when complain we was moved to third floor where the rooms has black windows and no incoming air
the pool facilities are poor and should be in the sun
but the other hotel magic escalabour i highly reccomend it so great !!!
