This hotel which used to be great has went down hill since my last visit two years ago. Yes it has upgraded the pool area and added a new indoor gym and pool but the rest of the hotel has not moved on at all. The common areas are drab and the rooms needs refurbished. Customer service is a concept that is new to the staff with most being unhelpful and as far as the diningroom staff downright rude. The food is the worst in Benidorm (providing you can find a knife and fork ) and is either cold or undercooked.Although the hotel is clean and in a good locatation is is let down by poor staff and food.

Going back August 13th. Good food, friendly staff, clean. Poolside is a disappointment due to lack of sun loungers. Entertainment poor but nightlife makes up for it.

Rosamar hotel problems

from jimladTheCapital
Just returned 12 june 2007 from 2 weeks at hotel Rosamar with mixed feelings.Firstly the positives, the hotel is beautiful in appearance, very clean and this follows through to the rooms which are cleaned every day with fresh towels if wanted. The pool is large enough, again very clean with a pool bar.Not much shade around the pool and it was very hot.As a disabled traveller i was interested in the access situation which i was happy to find very good in all areas. The downside was if you hired a mobility scooter from a cheaper company than the hotel offered, the hotel surcharged you 3 euros a day. Some scooters can access the hotel, but the larger ones could not negotiate the twisted access ramp so had to be left outside the hotel. It is a totaly no smoking hotel exept for rooms and a balcony above the pool area.
Now the downside of the hotel, nearly all the staff are rude, totally indifferent to the clients and some are downright aggressive. The restaurant food has to be seen and tasted to be believed,no imagination to it, and talking to a rep the thrown away food is very high.Ask for a bottle of water at dinner, and it is slammed down on your table without ceremony with the waiter saying gruffly 1 euro 10,no please or thank you. There are four internet stations, but for some unknown reason they just turn them of with no warning and if you ask why, the receptionist bites you. There are scales for weighing your suitcases before departure at 1 euro a go,but again they switch it of without explanation. The hotel has a bit of a faulty towers feel about it.Entertainment in the hotel has a circus theme every night, some nationals seem to enjoy it but most go out to the many attractions on the doorstep. If its decent food,a friendly staff rapore then this is not the hotel for you, great pity as the rest of the hotel is worthy of a visit with an excellent position for all the bars, clubs and restaurants,a disabled travellers dream. The hotel should warn clients in advance" Our Staff Bite"

Brilliant Location

Recently stayed at the Rosamar Hotel in Benidorm, must say what an excellent location to be in, everything around you, entertainment, shops, market and much more.
I found this hotel to be very clean, food was good although the drink was very expensive to buy in the Hotel.
I am thinking of going back to Benidorm in the near future and will stay in the Rosamar again can't beleive how central it is.

A good value break

from muskateer
My first visit to Benidorm and didn't arrive there with great expectations but was pleasantly surprised how I accepted staying in this 'New York' skyscraper style resort. The hotel has 14 floors served by 4 lifts and at peak times you have to be patient for a lift to arrive. Took full board and never short of food with varied choice of a satisfactory standard. Bedroom o.k. Likewise bathroom although, ladies, be warned there is no hair dryer provided. Entertainment provided nightly in two different public areas - keyboard player in one and a keyboard player and singer in the other. The latter also featured speciality acts each night about 10p.m. Most acts so-so but a few were very good. For the price we paid, in all our stay was excellent value. Crazy golf (and some other sports) in hotel grounds provided free of charge. Free 'bubbly' also available at breakfast!

As grim and the resort

from Benidorm
Bland food, bland room, tiny balcony, view of other concrete skyscrapers. To sum up, this hotel fits in well with the rest of the resort!!!

Great Location

from Sue42
The hotel Rosamar is ideally situated for nights out which is just as well because the entertainment is only suitable if you are a Spanish OAP. However there are plenty of pubs/clubs to go to, however the people with flyers outside trying to get you to go in to them were a pain and were right in your face even when you said no thank you. The food at the hotel was quite good, buffet style which suited most tastes although it did get a bit repetitive towards the end. The pool area was nice and it wasn't too difficult to get a bed, we were given an umbrella by a couple on their last day which came in useful. A few of the waiters were friendly but on the whole the staff were unhelpful/unfriendly but I think this may have been the language barrier, watch out for the chef serving eggs in the morning, he was scarey! The lifts took forever to come and when they did they were usually full, we actually got stuck in one but were rescued quite quickly, luckily. The hotel itself was clean but outdated and basic, the bed covers were more patch than cover. Overall we enjoyed our stay but probably wouldn't go back!

Fabulous time

from lizard555
~Had a wonderful time at this hotel between 15th and 29th August. The food was gorgeous enough choice for everyone. My mum, my daughters aged 9 and 6 and my son aged 2. The pool was wonderful very safe for children in the shallow part was a little bit cool but it needed to be as it was touching 90 degrees. Would definately go back but not the weeks that we had booked. We heard that the spanish enjoy this hotel because of the good reputation with good food and the first three weeks in August there was a lot of spanish on holiday. These people were very rude and pushed in the lifts even when you had been standing there before them with prams and children. They were not very friendly at all. The staff on the other hand in the hotel were marvellous. They made our children really welcome and played games with them in the restaurant. Franky the entertainments manager were fantastic, a credit to the hotel.

There is entertainment on in the hotel in the day, tug of war by the pool, volleyball in the pool and darts matches, plus football, pistol shooting and skittles, crazy golf and a small play area. The night time entertainment is not much good really, but who wants to stay in at night when the bars are on your doorstep.
The evening entertainment consisted of parrot shows, magicians, jugglers etc, but every single night they had spanish dancing before the show and after it, it would be nice for a change to put some other music on and cater for older people and also have a kids disco on different nights.

The cleaners come in and clean every day and do a fabulous job. Also whilst you stay here you must try the indoor health club.. It was 7 euros for two hours, you can use gym equipment (we did not use) and also an indoor pool with a jacuzzi, jacuzzi tables in the pool which you lay on, sauna and a cold room which you go in after the sauna and it is gorgeous. It helps to go in here at the beginning of your holiday as it opens your pores in your skin and helps you tan quicker and your tan is deeper therefore lasts longer. We went in on the last day.

So staff are friendly, hotel is clean, food is gorgeous, it is centrally located. Would definately stay again!!!!!=

Good pool

from A TripAdvisor Member
Just back from a weeks holiday at the Rosamar. The hotel was clean and the pool was first rate, my 5 year old son loved it. The food was edible but not very interseting and since the hotel caters for a large proportion of Spanish guests one would have thought that there would have been more local choices available. The waiting staff were at best indifferent and at worst rude. The buffet style of catering means that you are usually eating your next course with the previous courses dirty plates sitting on the table. The housekeeping staff were first rate and very helpful.

no complaints hotel

just back from a very good week in the rosamar, first time in hotel but won't be the last. very good choice of meals, young & old mixture of guests. but the best thing of all was how central it's position was. highly recommend the rosamar.

nice hotel

from AnnSscotland
we have just returned from the Rosamar, the hotel is very nice, spotlessly clean even around the pool area, in fact the hotel itself could not be faulted but the downside was the food, different meat of some sort every night but totally tasteless and not enough variation of anything else. The waiters are also very unfriendly,we find the Spanish to be a bit dour but once you get to know them they are fine, but not at the Rosamar. They also need to invest in some brollies for round they pool, there are some up towards the bar but they are for the tables therefor you cant hog them for long although some did for the whole of the day other than that there was no shade atall and with skin cancer scares they are essential so please Rosamar buy some umbrellas they are essential for families with children. The location is excellent
