We paid over the odds for a 4 star hotel that was more like a 2 star hotel! It took us 4 days and 6 complaints to get our air conditioning working, the balcony light didnt work, the room was dirty (bathroom was the worst)and the food wasn't cooked properly. The bar service/staff and the restuarant staff was spot on though!

Top Local Tips for Benidorm

See beyond Benidorm Do try the local trains and buses. For a few euros you can go right down the coast to Denia. We have stopped off at Calpe, Altea, Denia, and each place, although similar, have their own charm. Again with the buses, just have the right money ready. Also try the tappas bars, you are your own entertainment, just chat or sit and watch the world go by, the atmosphere is terrific. If you can, health permitting, and the time, then stroll, and I mean stroll. along the beaches from one end of the Levante to the other end of the Poniente, and if you can stand heights, take a trip to the top of the roof of the Bali hotel, 5 euros when we last did.

Amazing nightlife whether you are straight or gay orientated. Plenty to do to suit every pocket and orientation. Shop around as the drinks vary from 50 Euro Cents to 4 Euros.
