Oh dear.... where do I start?
On arrival was presented with a lovely kind welcome and thought the hotel was very clean... seen it was actually two star and not the three star as advertised but thought that didn't matter.
We walked into our TINY room and was pleased to have a balcony and pool view. As was evening when we arrived the pool seemed ok however we noticed no sun loungers which was unusual...
The lighting in the room was terrible, very very dim. we did have air con which we greatly appreciated.
Then the fun began... we went to bed and the noise from the corridors or next door was AWFUL !!! We could hear them talking/shouting, using the toilet (nice eh?) snoring, turning over in the bed, passing wind (yuk) and when someone used the shower/toilet it sounded like the pipes were going to come through the wall, it was that loud. We hardly slept ONCE during our weeks stay. Was quite clean, bedding wasn't changed once whilst we stayed but was swept daily and fresh clean towels every morning. Cleaning staff very pleasent. The odd break of ants in the room but nothing to the point where i'd say we were infested.
We looked forward to staying by the pool in the sunshine... NO SUN in the pool until late afternoon!!! Very disapointed by this... its the first pool we haven NEVER been in during a holiday.
I could count on one hand (including us) how many non-spanish guests there were.
Good news is the beach is 2 minutes away which was VERY nice and VERY clean. We spent most of our time there. The old town where the Campasol Hotel is located is mostly catering for the spanish so we spent most of our evenings in the new town which was 6-7 euros away in a taxi.
We stayed for B&B which was lovely as we had good choice of foods.
Outside noise very loud! They like their horns and scooters there!!!!!
Good luck if you're going.. hope u have a better time there than we did.

The food was acceptable for a 2 star hotel, and there was always something for everyone to eat. The dining staff were pleasant, however the reception staff were a little short of rude.
We paid extra to receive a room with a pool view however the room we obtained was immediately facing the room opposite in the same hotel. With no light able to enter the room it was very dark and dingy all day long. There was a damp odor from one of the cupboards making it unable to be used.
The cleaners, though pleasant, failed to clean the floors thoroughly and a large dead insect found on day one was left for the duration of the stay. In addition to this we were left with no towels through a simple error and were only provided with hand towels for the last 3 days of our stay.
On the 4h day of the holiday our air-conditioning became faulty, creating an excruciating noise. Other residents at the hotel complained about the noise and it was requested that we turn it off for the remainder of the week. However, the room became too hot, due to the lack of fresh air, and our only option was to leave it on. Despite this no effort was made to fix the problem, even though it could be dangerous.
The hotel itself was adequate, and if we were provided with better accommodation and resolutions to the problems that were out of our control, the 2 star hotel could have been suitable. The staff could definitely have better assisted us. Benidorm was a lovely place, and the people we met had great success in their accommodation.

Despite the age difference of my friend 61 & 38 years respectively, we both (having been Benidorm tourists for years) really found this hotel great.
Despite being in an English minority, my friends lack of Spanish was not a problem as most of the staff were conversant with the English language and they were far too kind at my feeble attempts - but I know it was appreciated. Thanks.
500 yard from the beach and far enough away from 'tinsel town' so when we got back ( of course we went there!)we had an undisturbed night. Good breakfast and and although not over spacious the rooms were clean and tidied and gave GREAT value for the money. Going back as soon as possible.

This is a 2** not a 4**** hotel if the food is not to your satisfaction go elsewhere. There are so many other places for you. I do recommend Sherry's up the top by the outdoor evening market place, which is run & managed by the English. Good value for money. You are here for such a short time, just enjoy it.
