For 3 reasons: 1. It is very noisy. The neighbour is the Disco Fat Tuesday. Sometimes they play till 4 o'clock in the morning. They blast the bass sounds directly into your rooms if you are in Block A. Even in block B and C you will hear the disco. If you do not hear the disco you may hear the noise from the events that are sometimes celebrated with an animator at the swimming pool of Dos Playas. If you survived all that you may hear the knocking noise of the workers which work non-stop recklessly of any siesta in block A, B and C - sometimes! to be fair, not always, but when we were there we heared it in all 3 blocks. 2. It is dangerous. It is possible to rend wave runners am few meters from Dos Playas. There is no sea police whatching the runners. They drive directly to the beach. I you have bad luck one drives over you while you are snorkeling or diving a little bit. Oooops! He will be sorry - but will have to go to the hospital. 3. There were several uncontent people we saw only on one day waiting for our room. One pair of Amaricans we spoke claimed that there room was very dirty (pizzas luying aorund). This may happen although I am sure it is not the rule. The problem of the other pair I do not know. We refused to take the first room they offered us because it was dark, narrow and noisy. I laid at the main street which goes throught the hotel area of Cuncun. The people are friendly - but only friendly. If you want something you have to put pressure on them e.g. do not go away, stand physically there. It is very expensive for what you get. You risk to get very angry. I would not go there again.
