We stayed at the Beverley Park for 12 nights. Married couple with a 7 year old. Parking was a nitemare as the town of Blanes has alot of camp sites at that end of town. Hotel wanted 9 euros a night to park so we parked where we could on side streets. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful whenever needed. The food was the same every morning for breakfast but there was loads on the help yourself buffet tables.The usual breads and cereal and hot selection. At lunch there was a fantastic range and the same for evening meal. If you wanted you could keep trying everything. They even catered for kids with chicken nuggets, pizza or kebab skewers most nights. Look out for the head chef who is the spitting image of Ted Bovis from Hi De Hi!Outside the pool was a lovely size although it is not heated. Fine in the summer but i should imagine freezing at any other time. There were lots of sun beds available but there were still towels on them at 4 in the morning!! There is also a decent sized grass area and small playpark in the corner. A kids club was run free of charge everyday except for Saturday. Ideal for 6-9 year olds. The two girls that ran it were very nice and also did a kids disco for 20 mins most nights. Our problem was we were the only English people there so our daughter found it difficult to converse but that didnt stop her from being friends with lots of others there. We were fortunate with the weather so we spent alot of time next to the pool being very lazy! Our room was a bit small with 3 single beds in but adequate. Air con was good, view from balcony not much but it was well equipt with the usual things all in working order. Cleaned daily with fresh towels. The hotel bar area was where the daily evening entertainment was held. It started at about half nine and was usually a Spanish singer with a keyboard or dancing. It was ok but not always worth rushing back for! Bar staff very friendly and helpful.There are a few local stores nearby that sell everything. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from the beach. The sand is not great and it slopes very quickly when in the water. The walk along the prom is very nice into the town of Blanes. There are market stalls set up every evening towards town and a full market on Mondays in the town. It is a pleasant 20 min walk and the town has a full range of shops that are not aimed at the tourist. A train pulled by a tractor can take you from outside the hotel every 10 mins at night to the port and back if you dont fancy walking. A visit to Barcelona is a must if you have a car (about 60 km) as is a tour around the city on the Bus Turistic. 18 euros but you can get on and off and see everything. A water park is also worth a vist down the road at Loret de Mar which is easy by car or a bus will take you and bring you back from the end of the road about half a mile away past the touristy bars and shops.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel, its postion was good to access local things but also away from the middle of everything. From a family point of view it was ideal. Not sure young people wanting night life would find it as appealing. Very Spanish, Dutch and German orientated hotel which usually means better standards.
