Top Local Tips for Bilbao

Tapas You should always find out how much each tapa you're eating costs. Otherwise, the waiters will be very eager to feed you plenty and you'll get a bill twice as much as what you were expecting. Don't be shy to ask how much something costs. And, of course, keep track of how many tapas you've consumed, just to make sure their math adds up with yours!

Airport bus Getting from the amazing new airport is a breeze on the bus. It leaves the terminal at 15 and 45 mins past the hour from outside the terminal and only takes 20 minutes to get into town. The fare is only 1 euro 20 cents. The bus stops only three or four times - first at the Guggenheim, then Plaza Moyau (Carlton Hotel), towards the Sagrada Corazon Plaza at the end of the Gran Via, and then at the bus terminus Coming back it leaves the terminus at 25 and 55 minutes past the hour.

Take a brolly! Just like England sometimes the rain can be drenching and make it seem miserable, but just take a brolly and get on with it.
