I have read some of your reviews previous concerning this hotel. I can not in all fairness agree with these. I would only assume that the reviewer must have a grudge against the hotel in some way. I for one found the staff to be friendly and helpfull. I have stayed here before. since my last visit the owner who seems to be a gentleman has up graded the rooms. They have had new curtains added with what seems different bedroom lockers etc, The price is ideal for me as the rooms are all ensuite and clean. You can have the room cleaned on request if your stay is long term. Each morning the receptionist asked "If I slept well and would I like my room cleaned today. they do not serve food only a small breakfast on request. They also only issue drinks on request as they do not use the bar as a draw for the hotel to help with having a peacefull night. In the old town at times when I have stayed at the Iris the local festa´s have been on and can sometimes be a bit noisey but is this not why we come to Spain to view and take part in local customs. The old town has charm and the hotel Iris to me is part of that charm. Graham Peel

ridiculously high prices for such low quality accomodation,staff dont want to know(also thieves among the staff as well),proprietor only interested in money,place for prostitutes,druggies,alcoholics,wierdos,desperadoes,beggars,pickpockets,muggers,the list of undesirables who stay at this hotel is endless.think the place has got a reputation among local people.there are much better hotels for same price or cheaper.DO NOT GO TO THE IRIS.

I stayed at this hotel for a week in January 2006 and couldn't fault anything. The staff were extremely friendly, spoke fluent English and I found them very helpful. Definitely will stay at the hotel again and have recommended it to all my friends.

Really not too bad a place to lay a head for the night. However, staying for a while with kids and looking for family orintated accomadation, this is not the place! If you have no drug habbit on arrival at reception, you should be hooked by checkout! Terrible service. Dont ask for refreshments on your tab, will cost you a small fortune. Very unclean, uninviting, no entertainment, no decent food, backpackers shithole (with respect to backpackers)!Management will always accomadate a deal as long as they are the winners! Summary... don't bother!
