Friendly staff, good service, excellent choice of food, difficult to fault. Yes, some parts are a bit tired and need refurbishment, but this did not detract from a very good holiday. Thanks

Great rooms, bad food

I booked this hotel as a last minute deal for a 2 week holiday in the sun. On arrival at the hotel, our room was not ready. I was asked to go away and return in one hour, which I did to be met by a receptionist who told me to sit and wait. So a further 30 mins went past, when I asked yet again was the room ready and a staff memeber looked at the keys and passed them to me. The room was pleasent and had air con and was very pleasant, the food was really bad, cold and oily, most nights fish!!!!!

Great Service & Staff - Poor food

This would have been a good hotel due to its location, cleanliness and friendly staff. However the food was well below standard. No real vegetables and the same most nights. It was not very appetizing, appearing to be leftovers warmed up. Breakfast was passable. People from adjoining similar hotels reported good food with carveries and fresh vegetables. Many who had stayed there as recently as November reported a dramatic decline in food standards. Rooms overlooking the roads need double glazing due to the noise throughout the night making it difficult to sleep.

Great hotel for the money spent, had stayed at the hotel 2 years ago and still the same standard as before, staff were great from the reception,bar and pool bar staff to the cleaners. Pool is brill,great size and spotlessly clean, this goes the same for the rooms as maids were in every day and left them spotless with clean towels every day aswell. Air con in rooms were brill as july was very warm as reaching to well above 40 some days. When I went to my room to cool down the room was freezing due to the air con, BRILLIENT!!!! IN THAT HEAT!Nice large dining room with meals to suit anyones tastebuds. Great location for the beach and nightlife aswell. Anyone thinking of going to Benidorm I would definately recommend the Presidente Hotel.

Absolutely Fantastic

I have just returned from a Stag Weekend in Benidorm where half of us stayed at the Hotel Presidente. I cannot commend the hotel enough, right from the welcome from the Reception staff on the first day, to the Bar Staff, Pool Staff and even the Cleaners. The reception area is large and clean as is the fantastic pool area and although the rooms are typically a little small and basic, they were immaculately clean. Another great stay in Bendidorm and I'm glad to stay a pleasure to stay in the Presidente !!

We stayed at the Presidente Hotel partly because it had been mentioned by most reports as a first class hotel and although most who visit the hotel will enjoy their holiday, regular visitors will certainly notice that standards especially in catering have fallen greatly since last year, this was the main talking point of all guests to the Presidente. The food selection was very poor and a number of guests took only a sandwich at meal times and many elected to eat out, those who did partake of the meals could find a wait of up to 20 minutes at the serving trays as the popular dishes ran out and were not replenished quickly. We were only on a one-week holiday, and I think the general opinion was that not many could have put up with the same repetitive fare for a fortnight. On the plus side the hotel although a bit old fashioned was kept spotless in all reception areas, the same was true of the rooms which were very well cleaned each day. The only problem with the rooms was air conditioning that could not be regulated and only circulated air at outside temperature; a fan would have been more effective, this lack of air conditioning must be a nightmare in the really hot months. All staff were excellen, however with such a wide range of other hotels in Benidorm I could not recommend the Presidente Hotel and would not definitely not book this hotel again. We travelled with Direct holidays and were informed only days before we flew that our flight times moved nearly 11 hours making our arrival in Alicante at 11.00pm instead of 11.30am and returning at 02.00am Sun) instead of 4.00pm(Sat). Please be aware this appears to be the norm with Direct Holiday, friends of ours who travelled to Majorca during the same time had their flights change three times the fortnight before their flight. Such changes were a nightmare for those with young children and babies and all I spoke to had to change their travel plans or mode of transport to the departure airport.

UK Cabaret Took My Breath Away

The Hotel Presidente is as good as all the other reviews suggest. Yes its clean, yes the rooms are nice and yes the entertainment is good (Abba-Esque in particular). However, it was the level of service from the hotels staff that exceeded my expectations. Nothing seemed like too much hassle. UK Cabaret (the bar below the hotel) was no exception. Ellen was a pleasure to see in the bar each night, and Javi and Chema the waiters were sure to raise a smile. They were also happy to advise us on the best bars to go to etc. All in all, an excellent destination and one which I cannot wait to go back to. Hotel Presidente here I come!!!!

Brilliant hotel, clean, staff very helpfull and the food was excellent, I have stayed in quite a few hotels in Benidorm and so far this tops them all.
