My 2 friends and I stayed at the joya for a week for a girly holiday in june 07. The staff were friendly and efficient. Although the hotel seemed to cater more for the spanish visitors with food and entertainment this wasnt a problem as there are plenty lively bars,cheap cafes and english pubs nearby. The rooms were adequate and kept clean, and there were plenty sunbeds. It is also situated in a nicer part of town away from the more boistrous square,where you are constantly hassled by staff trying to get you to go into their bars.if you are looking for a cheap and cheerfull base I would recommend the joya to anybody.

Well worth the money

Just returned from the hotel Joya in Benidorm. There were 6 adults in our party and we were only staying for the weekend. (Friday to Monday). When we arrived at the hotel we were pleasantly suprised how new and clean it looked from the outside. We had booked the hotel only 2 weeks beforehand and so as it was only a 2 star did not expect too much. We were all pleasantly surprised with the hotel and pool area which was clean and not too crowded at all. When we booked into the hotel the man at reception was very efficient and spoke good english. He had us booked in and on the way to our rooms within 5 minutes. There are small lifts in the hotel and they seemed to be rarely used as we found them always available. The hotel was just as clean as it had seemed from the outside. The reception, lifts, hallways and rooms were spotless during our entire stay. Towels were changed daily and beds made also daily.
