I am a strong believer in that you get what you pay for so with this hotel my sights were not that high but if you were given a room here for free I think you would still feel hard done by.

twin bedded room (couldnt open cupboard/wardrobe as bed was in front of door ...room was so small there was nowhere else to put it.....each bed had on it a sheet with holes in, a blanket with holes in and what can only be described as an old curtain with holes in.
TV didnt work, shower was broken, radiator was not working and the toilet did not flush....supposed to be boxed breakfast (never arrived) no facilities for making a hot drink.....Other than that it was fantastic

The hotel is clean and the rooms are small. But it's in a good location, walking distance from the train. Service is friendly.

Top Local Tips for Barcelona

It's so cheap Use public transport. Yes, taxis are very cheap anyway in Barcelona but public transport is very good value for money. We mainly used the underground...buy a block of ten tickets and these are veryy good value for money (All ticket machines are down in the underground) The Bus touristic is an excellent way of getting about and getting your bearings, a one day ticket will cost you just 19 Euros and you can get on and off the two routes (red and blue) as many times as you wish all day long. Getting to the airport i would recommend using the Aerobus. We caught this from Placa de Catalunya (stand with your back to chicago rock cafe and walk to right cross over to north and where buses are it is the first bus stop) This cost us about £2 for a 30 minute bus journey

save money the metro is a fantastic way to travel and easy to understand. we suggest buying day tickets, not buy them each time you want to travel.
