I was planning our honeymoon trip through Spain. For many other cities we could use Rick Steve's book on Spain and were very happy with that. For Barcelona, though, his recommendations were all booked-out, so we tried our luck. I have to say that all hotels we spent our time in (about five, I guess) were in the same price range, 70-90EUR/night for a double room, generally no breakfast included. This was the price we paid for Suizo, too (if I recall correctly, about 80EUR). Much to our surprise (and the clerk's), we found out there that the list price was about 120EUR/night which, if I would have had to pay, it would have felt downright like a ripoff. Good thing: it's very central. Easy to get to Ramblas, not far from Gaudi's masterworks (Casa Mila, Battlo), close to the tour bus stops. Bad things: - the furniture was pretty much scratched and in a sort of sorry state, not really crumbling on you, but nothing you'd expect for that price;
