Barcelo Raval We got a terrific deal - 107 Euros per night - at a brand new hotel in an interesting and convenient neighborhood. It's an ugly building (one of our party said it was good we were staying here so we didn't have to look at the place), but nice to stay in. If you have the "no breakfast" rate, you still are left a bag on your doorknob with complementary yogurt, fruit, and juice every morning to go with the in-room coffee. You are just 5 minutes from the Mercat de la Boquieria and a few more minutes from the Ramblas and Barri Gotic. The rooms are small but well-appointed, tho they could use a few more hooks for hanging towels and drawers for clothes. The beds are comfy, the basement fitness center pretty good, the roof terrace with a spectacular 360 degree view of the city.
