Top Local Tips for Barcelona

Articket We milked this discount museum ticket for all its worth. The best part of this card is you don't need to wait in line to buy tickets or get in. You just show it and you are treated like VIP, get in right away. We were in Barcelona when it was raining and this was a great way to get out of the rain while passing the time. There are 7 museums you can go to, including Gaudi's Casa Mila (Pedrera), Picasso, Miro, Antoni Tapies, MACBA and CCCB. The last two are worthless in my view, but boy to be able to walk by the long lines for Casa Mila (up to 2-hour wait) and just walk in, well worth it. Yes there is absolute value in the monetary discount but there is greater value on not wasting time standing in line when you should be sightseeing.

Barcelona card since most cultural sites (Sagrada, Gaudi buildings, ...) tend to be quite expensive, you can have a price reduction on most of them with the Barcelona card

- use metro as much as possible
