For a short city break of 3 nights we found this hotel both comfortable and convenient. It appeared well maintained and cleaned throughout. Bad points, no tea making facility in room, breakfasts only average.

Excellent location; very close to Las Ramblas!. Very quiet; very elegant, super clean, very attentive staff, FABULOUS breakfast!. Wonderful bed, excellent bathroom.

This is a modern funky hotel is in an excellent location minutes from Las Rambla and the Cathedral. The room was modern and clean with a balcony overlooking a very pretty, quiet street. Oddly, for a hotel of this quality, there is no bar.

We recently stayed at NH Duc de la Victoria in Barcelona. We were quite surprised with this hotel. For a 3 star, it was increadible! Very clean, very modern and 1 block off Las Ramblas. The price per night was very reasonable as well. We would definitely stay here again. No complaints at all, great hotel!

Absolute Gem

I absolutely loved this hotel. The location is nice because it's away from the sometimes noisy Rambla, but it's close enough to run out to grab a late dinner. I loved loved loved sleeping with the window open everynight. The staff was curteous and spoke English which was helpful. It was VERY clean and the water pressure in the shower was super nice which is a great thing! The style of the hotel and the level of service was worth every Euro spent here! I will definitely return.

Terrific Hotel

My husband and I just returned from Spain. We were very happy with this hotel. Our room was clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. The location is terrific - just off Las Ramblas and near the cathedral. The only negative aspect is the unfriendly staff. They couldn't have cared less about customer service. However, despite the staff I would still highly recommend this hotel.

We, mij wife and I and two friends stayed at your hotel from 22 april until 27 april. The hotel is located in de center off the town just near the Rambla. However the location is perfect. Quiet at night and when you walk for about two minutes your at the hectic center. The staff diserves a compliment, they were friendly and helped us correctly when we had questions. We will come back to your hotel for sure.

Great Location, Great Hotel

Just spent 4nights here for Easter weekend largely based on reviews found here. My wife and I were not disappointed. The hotel has a fantastic location to explore the city, having now found my way around I cannot think of a better place i could have stayed location wise. The hotel itself is very clean with friendly staff. Stay B&B to enjoy an excellent continental style breakfast containing everything from fresh fruit to fresh smoked salmon. If we return to Barcelona this is the place I'll stay. If there were a downside it's the fact that there is no bar but you should have no trouble finding one of those somewhere else!

Have just spent 3 nights at this hotel last weekend. Booked because of reviews on this site and the hotel was excellent. Room was spacious and very clean. Enjoyed breakfast which had a very good choice of hot or cold. Great position, close to La Ramblas and main square but on quiet street. Got bus from airport to square which was very cheap and convienient. Had great meal in the Attic restaurant as recommended earlier (just around the corner from hotel on La Ramlas) Loved Barcelona and can't wait to go back. Would definately recommend this hotel.

Stayed here last month (Feb 04) - Nice hotel in a great location.
Convenient for the Ramblas, the Barri Gothic and the port but quiet and restful. Rooms clean and spacious, we upgraded to a superior room, more room but only came with twin beds... They promote wireless internet access in the rooms but it must've been an off day - we requested a logon but 2 hours later no-one had called back. Second the comments about the Bagel shop though - great place - went there twice!

Top Local Tips for Barcelona

Transport to and from the airport The airbus at the airport has three stops, Plaza Espanya, a stop on the main road (cannot remember the name) and the last one Plaza Catalunya in the centre of town (right next to Las Ramblas), it takes no more than 15 minutes, and if you buy a return ticket it is quite a cheap way to get from and to the airport. No need for expensive taxis. Just hop on board the blue bus with the word aerobus on the side.

Pickpockets There is a lot written about pickpockets in Barcelona but think this is a general problem in all main cities. Take the usual precautions.

bus tour It's not much extra to get a ticket for a two day pass for the tourist bus, which is hop on/hop off. Takes you round all the sites and is a good way to get your bearings.
