Exellent budget hotel right in centre of Las Ramblas

This hotel was much more than we expected. Situated in the heart of Las Ramblas off a busy side street. No better place to feel Barcelona's atmosphire! Friendly staff. 24 Hour reception. Room safe was only 2 euros per day. Rooms and towels cleaned everyday. Beds were comfortable. Shower temprature was alittle inconsistant but what would you expect in such an old building? It did work well though and had strong pressure. Good heating for the winter time. It also had a tv although Spanish stations. You could hear some noise from the hallway and reception phone but again it's an old building.
It was better than some three star hotels I have stayed in!
Remember this hotel is a small one star hotel so complaining it hasn't got english tv channels, a hard bed or air conditioning is petty......... if that is the case you pay for what you get, stay in a 5 star miles out!

I loved it and will stay there again next time.

Tapas Gaudi Tapas Gaudi, right next to the hotel sold excellent food and the service was excellent. A "must do" for anyone staying at the Hotel Ingles (or any other hotel in the area).
