I stayed in the Iternacional with my school, the service was good, and the maids were brave enough to clean up our mess!
The views from the balcony in my room were stunning, as I was right above that famous street painting, (by Gaudi?). The continental breakfast was good and the bar and its balcony were the best place to enjoy a drink. Furthermore, it was close to the supermarket (Champion) and right above an ice cream parlour - always a bonus. Finally, due to its position, you are very close to several amusing, but sometimes freaky, street entertainers, the ones who pretended to be statues.

Top Local Tips for Barcelona

beware of thieves My camera was stolen from my bag although I thought I had been very careful. The police were kind but not in the least surprised. Evidently this happens all the time here. While we were waiting at the police station there were numerous other tourists there who had all had something stolen. Eating on la ramblas is also very expensive 8 euro for a glass of lager 55 euro for tapas for 2.
