Market at Ramblas Buy the fresh fruit drinks at the market, they are wonderful. Also, at the end of the market there's a stand that sells organic, vegetarian food.

Thievery Be careful on the bus that runs from the airport to the Placa Catalunya. Do not use the luggage racks in the middle and rear of the bus. I took my eye off a carry on for five seconds and it was gone. The driver told us this was common.

Power breakfast, anyone? Go to Boqueria around 8-9 am when it is in full swing. It's really an eyeful, then have a power breakfast at any of the bars IN the market. I recently had the most amazing "breakfast" in Quim de Boqueria. Check this out: it's forest mushrooms in season ala placha piled with a fried egg on top..and topped again with a caramelized foie gras slab (crusty sugar around) and slathered with syrupy aged balsamic vinegar. To down the power breakfast? Cava and freshly squeezed OJ! All these in the market..Just incredible!
