This hotel has put me off for life going abroad couldn't wait to come home. Went 17/706 till 25/7/06food poor entertainment terrible, had to pay for drinks with our dinner that although we had our drinks all in our price that we paid. Last 2 days no air conditioning and no hot water. The people behind the bar very miserable. They made us feel we didn't want to go up to bar, it was awful and all the party's going on all night, nobody done nothing about it. I'm feeling mad about the whole thing as I won't be taking my kids until next year what a waste of money. Plz anyone who's thinking of going, think again. Karen

Stayed at the Esplai 3-10 Sep. Had a nice time, the hotel was very clean and all the staff very nice. The entertainment was poor, but the staff did try. Food was poor - would recommend bread and ice-cream fruit. The pool was nice when you could get a seat. Would go back if the entertainment and food improve.

Stayed at the Esplai from 10 - 24th Sep. all inclusive. Found the staff to be a bit reserved at first. Bear in mind the amount of pissed idiots who go here to get as much free stuff as they can. You'd be a bit reserved. After a few days of getting to know the staff they got to recognise us. Had a good laugh. Rick and D tried their best with entertainment but to no avail. Disco was crap. Same cd played every night I think !! Food wasn't too bad. Breakfast was especially good (When we got up for it). Clean hotel with very nice pool. Manolo the night manager was excellent. De puta madre. In all, top holiday was had.

We stayed from the 12-24 July and we found that the hotel was very nice but not big enough for the number of people. The bar staff and receptionist were very miserable and never smiled. The food was good except they did loads of meat and not a lot of other foods they also had nearly the same foods every night. The entertainment was very good and every 1 was always joining in except it was not very organized so they didn't know what they were doing.

I stayed with 12 family members at this lawless, poor ran hotel for 5 days. It was impossible to find an available chair around the swimming pool since the guests got up at the crock of dawn to "reserve" their spot under the sun and they placed their towels around the pool while they ate breakfast at the hotel or went somewhere else. The food was bad and the rooms dirty. I will never recommend this hotel to any of my friends.
It looked more like a 1/2 star hotel to me!

Stayed at hotel from 25 June to 2nd July. Entertainment was very poor and very un orgainise. The hotel cater for a lot of young footbal teams. So you get a lot of groups of spainish and italian lads. Which we experience spitting off the balcony. The night porter was not very helpful in trying stop the boys ever. The bar staff were very rude and a smile was almost non existant from them. We met a lot of british familys in the hotel whos views were pretty much the same. The only up side was the Beach boys club/bar round the corner. British pub with great entertainment.
Would not go back

Stayed at Hotel Esplai from 15th June to 22nd June. Hotel very clean and some of staff very friendly. However as regards the food they did not cater for young children and we had to eat out even though we were all inclusive. Entertainment was very poor. Mini disco for young children only lasted half an hour. Adult entertainment almost non existant except for one evening when we had Flamenco dancing. Although ice cream was free you had to pay for ice lollipops. Would not go back. Other British guests at the hotel also said the same.
I would not use this hotel again

The hotel lobby at least 15 steps above street level which from the start ment having to carry suit-cases prams/push chairs up them. No ramp was provided. The hotel lobby was neat & tidy. 2 lifts & 6 floors. The rooms were very small and in need of redecoration, and as the week progrested it was obvious the same could be said for the rest of the hotel. The staff were not at all helpful. Even to the fact they would not give us a glass full of ice to have with our drinks in our room, when the children went to bed at night. The food was dreadful. The same menue each night breakfast did improve when the omlett bar opened. The pool was dirty, toilet door lock in the pool area toilet stuck due to low maintenace and locked our 8year old in, it was 10mins before we could get her out. Going all inclusive should have ment all food & drinks, this was not the case. The bar staff may sure that AI guests were the last to be served, because they realised that the paying guests would tip them from their change. Also AI guests could only have 2 drinks at a time, even though they were aware that we have an 8 year old with us they would only let us have 2 drinks we which ment that 2 of us had to go to the bar each time we wanted a drink. in short not what the brochure said.
