Top Local Tips for Barcelona

Basic info Take the train from the airport: cheap and convinient. Train is called Renfe, goes very often and almost on time :). We have found buses rather confusing, but drivers were very helpful. Metro is also good. All the buses and trains we've seen were very clean and safe. If you a have a full day or 2, use tourist bus. http://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/en/tour/barcelona-bus-tour.html This web site is helpful, you can get more tips from it. Barcelona hotels are expensive, but do spend time surfing the net, you will most likely find something very reasonable. We did. It was a great bargain! There is literally too much to do in Barcelona: starting from all the gorgeous sights and ending with amusement parks and shopping. Take a tourist bus. If you don't want to, at least take a look at the marked sights - it's all there. Take time. We didn't have enough, must go back.

Reseach the Trip Mak sure you research the trip to Barcelona if you time is limited - so much to do and see As I have already said the T10 ticket available at the metro for around 6.5 euros was great value and can be used on all mode of transport.

A great city Try out the tourist buses - they are great for seeing the points of interest - you can get on and off at will and follow any route around the city - well worth the money.
