hotel amaika
This was our first visit to spain and westayed at hotel amaika in calella between 31st oct - 6th nov 07. It is a wonderful hotel: very clean, helpful staff and food very good. They will even make you a pack lunch if you are going out(full board only). It is only 1 hour on train from hotel to Barcelona - check it out but, take care Barcelona known for pickpockets and beggars. Suggestion: wear comfy footwear girls - big place nice shops. We went home on day of rangers v barcelona match thank god very noisy nite before. The beach is very clean, weather was great. We will be going back next year. Trust me you will enjoy this hotel. My husband and I give it 10/10.jenny n kev.sheffield

Very clean!
A nice hotel. The staff were fairly helpful. Very clean and hygienic. Food was ok but not to my taste. Went out to eat most nights. Not the best time of year to go, very quiet and the weather was a nightmare. Very little to do unless the sun is shining! At night, the place seemed to transform into chav-land!

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!
Well I have to say I have been blown away by my w/end stay at the Hotel Amaika.
I went with a party of 8 and 4 of the travellers have been a few times and said that the Hotel was good so myself and my partner decided we would join them.
We arrived at 10am on Sunday and the hotel was out of this world. The staff were very helpful and very pleasant to say the least. We could not check into our rooms as they were not quiet ready so we were told to leave them in a specified room.
We made our way to the bar for a well deserved drink and plenty to choose from through the day and night and if you’re a drinking person I'm sure you can make your way through the top shelf.
The restaurant was excellent a great choice of meats, Fish, potatoes, vegetables, salads, pasta, sweets and a veggie options always on show and there was plenty there to feed those fussy with food.
The town itself was fairly quiet but that’s not a surprise at the time of year but there is a train station that c...Read more
