Top Local Tips for Barcelona

Well Worth The Money when you first get to barcelona, getting a taxi from the airport can be quite expensive so we found that the best thing to do was to get a 5day metro pass. we paid around 25 euro which was well worth the money. All of the major spots have a metro spot near by, for example, the sagrada familia and the port etc. However for the nou camp there is a stop but there is still a fair treck to get there. I would also highly recommend the AA Barcelona travel book. I didnt pay much for it, but I dont think we would have had anywhere near the time we had if we hadn't have had that book. It has everything in it, from where to stay, where to eat and a train map at the back to show where all the stops are.

Taking train to BCN airport? Before the T1 was opened, I used to take the train very often to go or to comebafk from the airport. However, After most of the comapnies moved to the T1, I find it quite inconvinient. You will have to take another bus (gree colored - free) at the T2, and with all the rounds it makes, it takes about 20 something other minutes to arrive to the T1. If you are coming from the BCN city center to the airport T1, I´d recommend you to take the aerobus, which will directly take you to the airport.
