Very pleasant hotel, trendy design and great comfort, peaceful location, professional staff. "Negative": "remote" location from the centre (Paseo de Gracia, Ramblas, etc.). "Basic" SPA centre lacking some warmness...

Well situated hotel in a rather quiet quarter of Barcelona. I regret that there were no outside-windows in the room.

getting around take a taxi, leave the metro to the commuters, taxi are cheaper and faster!

Having fun at Cal Pep Cal Pep is an amazing catalan restaurant serving an outstanding food in a perfect spanish atmosphere. It is crowded, noisy, delicious. It is quite an experience. It is located at El Born, at Plaça de les Olles.

Barcelona Card Beware that the Barcelona Card is not like the Madrid Card in that it is a 2-day (i.e. 2 calendar days) card and NOT a 48 hour card. We were under the impression that it was a 48 hour card and only used the metro at 11pm on the first day. Consequently, to make sure we got our money's worth on the card, we had a very packed 2nd day, rushing from one attraction to another and utilising the Metro far more than we normally would have!
