metro Metro is amazing and the way to anywhere if you get a metro map you can plan where you need to be they have different coulered lines that cross over at different stations. When you go down to the underground there are ticket machines with touch screens and there are flags for the different languages. I t was costing us 2.60 euros for both of us when you go through you can get off at different stations and go on to different colour line with that ticket as long as you dont go out of the gates. So really plan your route and you can cover anywhere they run every four minutes so no waiting. If you are landing at Girona it is just over an hour to centre of Barcelona so dont get taxi. Barcelona buses are comfy and buy your ticket in the airport and they are outside to your right the time seems to go quickly.
