The three brothers who run the place are extremely friendly, generous with time and helpful. The only thing that could possibly drag down my rating is the quality of the beds, but hey, you get what you pay for. If I need a place to stay along this route again, I will certainly stay in this hotel. Safe parking, cheap, friendly, central location, walking distance to everything - just great! I didn't use the restaurant for anything but breakfast, but that was delicious. We used the bar quite a bit and as with everything else, the coffee, beers and fresh orange juice was delicious and served with a smile.

The Castilla is centrally located, and has recently been re-furbished. We've stayed three times so far and would use again. The rooms are clean and well-maintained (let's overlook the loose wall-mounted radiator!)
This hotel could be rated higher, but for the slightly smaller room sizes - there are at least one or two larger rooms. It appears secure and although on a busy main street, quiet at night. It's attached to a bar which has a top reputation for tapas, and a restaurant at the rear with an excellent menu - always busy but service is most efficient. This is a family run business - three brothers, who are attentive and give very good service. For a 2-star hotel it rates 10/10, on location, cleanliness, service.

Top Local Tips for Antequera

El Torcal Take the time to visit the natural park El Torcal. We did the yellow route (3 km) which was definitely ok, but take your time (about 1.5 hours) and take some water. This walk is not ok for very young children.
