We booked this place over the internet when we knew we would need a room prior to getting on the ferry to Ceuta. The Almar is nothing to look at on the outside and the street it is on is pretty rough but our room was more than adequate and there was a great buffet breakfast with a clear view of the Rock of Gibraltar across the bay and a wonderful sunrise. The place is a three minute walk to the ferry dock if that is important to you and the staff were very helpful. The other important point is that there are precious few alternatives especially close to the docks.
