Top Local Tips for Belgrade

If you are health-conscious... Be prepared for Belgrade! It is difficult to get vegetarian food, especially anything that is not starch- or fat-heavy. Also, Belgrade is a smoker's paradise. If you have forgotten what it's like to be in smoky restaurants, bars, etc., prepare yourself for what awaits you. At least all the smoke suppressed my appetite, so I wasn't as hungry when I wasn't eating as much as I normally would at home. However, it really was a great experience going to Belgrad...just be aware of these two things.

Moskva Restaurant If you're in Belgrade during the warm months, you MUST stop in for a wonderful meal at the restaurant of the Hotel Moskva. The seating outside is well covered, but is one of the best places to watch the colorful people walking past. The food is incredible (I had 2 meals there, both consistently excellent.)
