Nobody speaks English If you can have somebody who speaks Russian take you around...It is highly recommended. Hopefully they have a car, because everything is so distant. Honestly if you are too Americanized this is not the place for you....Could not wait to get on the plane to get at least in Frankfurt....In Kazan you feel so Isolated from the world....Kinda Cold war feeling...It was weird...We did see a hockey game...that was nice...if you are a sports fan.
