Top Local Tips for Vilamoura

Drive the 12 miles to Albufuria Albufeira (The Strip) The cockrell serves good food as does the Clay oven & Royal Tandoori.& the steak house at the top of the strip by Linakers. in Old Albufeira "Bravo" (in the centre square) offers a wide selection from a very varied menu, sitting outside is far better as inside it is very hectic.

Wednesday market The wednesday market was fairly big just near the bus station. It had alot of stalls but really depends on what your wanting to buy. It mainy consisted of: Pashminas, Shoes, tacky toys, womens beads, Dodgy DVD's and womens clothes from the 90's not really latest fashion! They wont budge at all on prices no matter how hard you barter! but it is something to do as there are not many shops and no cheap deals around in that area. The beach is clean and nice but not much to do there. Ideal if you just want to top up your tan as nothing else much to do

TAXI BEWARE OF THE TAXI DRIVERS THEY ARE RUDE!! AND RIP YOU OFF IT SHOULD COST 18 EUROS FROM AIR PORT TO HOTEL.
