We were two families with 5 teens between us. We arrived late in the day, without reservations. The staff were very welcoming and quickly arranged three rooms for all of us. We had a good meal that night and quickly retired to very comfortable beds. One room was eye level with the roadside but the town is relatively quiet given its location ! Breakfast was wonderful and we soon had a full morning exploring the castle and rest of the town. The views are unbelievable. Hard to imagine how the fort was built given its location and the time period.

The most beautiful hotel room I've stayed in my life.
The hotel is set in an old building and tastely decorated. The rooms are large, comfortable and very beautifully furnished. Believe me, it's hard to leave the room!
The bathrooms are large and modern, but with style. All the linen and towels are embroided with the logo of the hotel. The breakfast (included) is delicious and presents a lot mor options that the ordinary continental breakfast.
The prices are unbelievable low for the comfort provided.
Marvão is a tiny little village on top of the hills. A perfect place for a honeymoon. I will surely return and in the meanwhile recommend it to all my friends. (The village and the hotel, not the honeymoon)
