Top Local Tips for Lisbon

Travel to Lisbon from Hotel The best way to drive to Lisbon for sight seeing purposes (e.g. Belem Tower, the Monastery), is to take the beautiful drive along the coast. We had no traffic on a Sunday. Ask the hotel concierge from directions. If you are driving to Lisbon airport on a Monday morning during rush hour like we did, you will be taking a different route and need to budget at least 1 1/2 hours for the trip.

Fill your boots! Make sure you eat at the Midori buffet and I would recommend skipping lunch on the day!

Get a Car I would suggest renting a car and driving to Cascais and Sintra.
