Nice Hotel,but..

The Hotel itself is nice,clean,cozy,nice surroundings,but the breakfast was not up to the rest.And the Hotel staff recommended us a Restaurant near by,for witch they get paid for,but it was a great disappointment.The portuguese food we looked for was not there.Instead we had steaks,and that was hoorible too.This is the TrÃ£ngulo Restaurant near the Dom manuel.Avoid it,you have EL PIRATA ,the best Rest around. Richard

Delightful hotel

Hotel was great, full of character & charm. Clean spacious rooms with a full sized fridge that meant you could stock up with goodies from local supermarket. Plenty of local restaurants if you don't want to walk into town. I'd like to recommend the Pirata,the Chinese and the Maharaja de Lagos an Indian restaurant situated near to the fire station. Lagos itself is an interesting town with plenty to discover and the local people I found were friendly and all spoke excellent English. On a negative note, if you are booked on a package tour, the journey from the airport to the resort and back is horrendous. If you can afford it, I would recommend a taxi transfer.

A very nice, quite hotel, with beautifully appointed rooms, not too far from the beach (10mins)
