I spent an enjoyable week making use of most of the hotel's facilities. The pool and surrounding area was spotlessly clean and well managed. The public areas are light, airy and spacious with the exception of the restaurant which is dark and in need of refurbishment. At first the choice of food looked good and varied but it hardly changed during the week so became monotonous. Is there always such a desperate shortage of cutlery that the same set has to be retained for all courses? I must have walked miles in order to fetch my meals from the buffet. A little attention from the dining room staff would have been appreciated. A great shame that the restaurant lets the hotel down.
