Top Local Tips for Praia Da Luz

Good fair taxi service with drivers who are courteous The taxi in comparison to the bus is well worth it, even for getting back the 300 metres from the beach after the kareoke in Carlos Bar. They never let you take a suitcase or bag as they take pride in greeting you from the airport to the accommodation and wherever you go. They have full ID and are most proficient in all languages and speak English perhaps better than most of us. The cost of the taxi from Faro to Praia da Luz which takes under an hour is 90 Euros and well worth it. We never had to haul suitcases upstairs as the driver took them into the hotel and that is the last we saw of them as we headed off to the pool as reception took over. Same on departure. Lagos is a fine destination to go to in a taxi too.

Eating out The Dolphin looks nothing from outside . Food and service was excellent in this South African owned restaurant.
