If you want to feed in a cattle market, then the hotel Navagadores is a must for you. Long queues for the food at all mealtimes is compulsory it seems, and more than likely, when you get there most of the food is gone. If you like the same food for breakfast every day then go here, very little choice, queues again for the toaster and food with much pushing from the germans and the locals, Don't think Brits are much liked or welcomed. Evening meal is salad, salad.s alad that consists of lettuce, onion and tomato + whatever else with little choice.You can only have water at meal times if you pay for it at about 10 x more than the local supermarket but you can't take it into the restaurant with you. The staff speak little english. The balconys to the rooms are dangerous, quite low with nothing stopping you from falling over, (would NOT be allowed in UK)Rooms were kept very clean, We went with cosmos, would never go with them again, NEVER saw a rep despite enquiring and leaving messages, Hotel looks from the outside like a carpark, Noisy at nights with some ?? singer sounding like a strangulated cat, this went on to midnight EVERY night, if you stay here listen to his/her (couldn't tell) rendition of guantanamera. I actually thought of chucking myself off the balcony to rid myself of this pain to the ears.

Top Local Tips for Monte Gordo

Not much to do Don't really have one. This is, in my opinion for older people looking for a quiet getaway, at this time of year anyway. I also found that they allow way too many dogs to roam freely around the streets and they crap every where. You need to watch where you step. The lack of a dance venue was a big dissapointment for my wife and I as we love to dance. Again, pre3haps some of the Hotels cater for this but if they did, we couldn't find one and maybe this was because it was off season. I don't know.

Don't pay for Transfer You can pay 50 Euros at the airport to get you from the airport to Monte Gordo, they will give you a card to ring to book for on the way out so 100 Euros for a round trip instead of 35 Pounds each, each way, you also get there faster in a safe clean minibus. NIGHTLIFE: go to Harleys Bar, an English bar which is loads of fun and really friendly. TO EAT: Go to the Swiss restaurant just round the corner it is gorgeous and again friendly.
