We were very impressed by this hotel's elegant decor, and the overall quality of the accommodation. The staff were friendly and helpful,and the service good. The location on a hiilside is good, and the hill is not too steep for people of average fitness. The beach is about ten minutes walk. We hope to return soon!

Top Local Tips for Estoril

Dining in Estoril/ Cacais Wherever you stay the best options for dining are in Cascais itself and along the promenade there are restaurants all along that are very clean, well run and offer good value food. We got a little tired of sea food, there are a few Indian restaurants to be found - and they have an excellant one in the shopping centre in Cascais itself, it was the most we had to eat while we were there, very filling and tasty and friendly staff.

This is not Cascais Note that Estoril is pretty much a small residentilal town with only the big, tacky casino and not much else. For charm and shopping, walk along the sea to the next town, Cascais, which is a very pleasant 20 minute walk from Estoril. Estoril does have a beach, which is nice, although crowded, and chairs cost a couple Euro each. There is also an easy train that runs up and down the coast every 15 minutes if you don't feel like walking to or from Cascais.

Don Manolos could change your life..... Don Manolos chicken place in Caiscais does the best peri peri chicken - pig out!!!
