See my review of "Vila Gale Cerro Alagoa" for comments on the excellent "Eva" Restaurant.

Didnt see the rooms here but all the public areas look very impressive. The only thing that wasnt very impressive was the view, but not many hotels in the area have an unspoilt view anyway.

The hotel is great the staff and reps were a great laugh! There are loads of chioldren there mixed ages ranging from 3 to 16/17. The night time entertainment was really good and i loved the night time discos because all my friends and me were up on stage dancing!! i made soooo many mates and kept in contact with loads of them!!! There is fun loads of fun activities to do from water basketball to pool competitions in the games room!! We went self catering and everywhere we went out to eat was really nice!! I would love to go again!!! I really advise you to go and experience the great time i had at Paraiso!! :)

I am 13 years old and i don't think i'll ever go to a better hotel.A*,top class.The pool was good.Food was real nice and great sports facilites.I went for EURO 2004 with my nan and Grandad and have been begging my mum and dad to go again.I'm still trying!I also liked the bars theres 2 of them,Club Glam its great they have parrot shows,Karaoke,a Michael Jackson look alike etc.
Lots of clubs for the kids.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recently stayed at this hotel, it was extremley clean, the food in the restaurant was great and the facilities avalible were excellent. The staff speak excellent English and are very helpful.

The only complaint i have about this hotel which you may have to look out for is the elevators; they have no sensors on the doors so you are likely to have a door close on you when getting in! not so safe for young children... also it cost 5euros to wash your clothes in the launderette... but this is expected in hotels as is the price of a phone call from your room, walk to a phone box (which isn't far) as it cost me 89 euros for a 15minute call to the uk!

Apart from these minor things i would strongly recommend this hotel, my stay was very pleasant.

This was one of the best hotels i've stayed in. It was very clean. The staff were freindly and the food was lovely. I went with my huusband and 2 children 12 and 10. There was something for everyone. Entertainment was good. Yes you do have to get up early for a sunbed, but I'd like to know a place where you don't, It's become a part of every holiday. We went all inclusive and it was worth every penny.

Myself and my boyfriend have just returned from 1 weeks holiday at the Paraiso. I was a bit worried before leaving having read some comments that the hotel was not up to 4* and the studio beds were uncomfortable. We stayed in a self catering studio apartment which was really modern and well looked after. The pull out bed was actually really comfortable! The little kitchen was brilliant and had an oven, microwave, toaster and coffee maker! which all looked as though they had never been used. The reason for this is the hefty 100 euros pp deposit for the room you have to pay on arrival which I was a bit annoyed that I hadn’t been warned about before hand. Take a credit card as you don’t want them taking your holiday money! Other activities also require deposits such as tennis etc, you don’t get anything for nothing here! Apart from that the place was lovely and ideally situated in between the lovely old town and the livelier strip which was perfect for me and my boyfriend both being 22. We actually preferred the old town as there were loads of lovely restaurants and it was still quite lively. We found the strip quite tacky, the bars were small and crowded. The beach was beautiful and the walk was quite nice. We liked sunset beach which was one of the central coves. It was quiet and un crowded even in July. I wish Id had a bit longer there!

we both visited the hotel on seperate occasions & we both love the hotel & the staff & would definatly recomend it to any1 going to portugal.

its an amazing hotel & is great value we both paid a small amount for the hotel & were suprised to see how stunning & classy the hotel was.

we were greeted by many friendly smiling staff & the bar staff are a fun, friendly crew.

perfect 4 families as well as youngsters & groups of friends!

we will definatly b returning togethersoon!

Well what can I say about the Paraiso! It is by far teh best hotel I have ever been to and the cleanest! I loved the food the people and the accomodation. Oh does anyone know if the waiter called Luis is still there cos im goin back this year and wondered if he was there. Highly reccommended!!!
