The Place To Be.......

Where shall I start?.........The Brisa Sol is not rated No 1 Hotel on this site for no reason.It is superbly situated,closer to the Old Town(10 mins walk),than the strip(20 mins walk).The Brucie Bonus is that the resort tram(train?), stops directly outside the Hotel.It is one of only 3 stops in the whole resort,and costs 3 Euros per day to travel as many times as you like throughout the resort.It calls every 20 mins!!!.Lets get on.....The Hotel itself is fantastic, and the reception staff cannot do enough for you. Anything you want, or need, just ask!!
Pool area of the hotel is fantastic. It is tended to every day by the Hotel employees, who discard old plants, prune, re-plant, and generally keep the area picturesque.....Superb!!
The apartments have all you can wish for.Air conditioning system is fantastic in both the main room and the bedroom!! Bathroom is superb, and shower is excellent with gallons upon gallons of hot water. Marble effect surrounds add to the feelgood factor.
Restaurant is fine and classy, but I preffered to get to the numerous cafes and bistros for Brekkie. Mostly though, we had some breakfast in the apartment....which leads me to tell you about the Modelo Hypermarket,which is more or less next door to the Brisa!!!.What a class place.This is the first port of call for you to stock the fridge and cupboard out!!!.
If you are on a budget...which most of us are, I recommend brekkie in the apartment,Din Dins at the outside pool cafe (very reasonable), and the Old Town for an evening meal.
The choice you have for a meal is unlimited!! Definately try the grilled sardines,they are awesome and cheap!! (order bread to go with it)
Go to Villamoura, and take a boat trip along the Coastline of the Algarve(drinks onboard)
Finally, If you miss out on this location,the Brisa Sol Aparthotel, you have missed out on life!!
One word of warning....Do not try to buy cheap cigarettes on the street...you will be ripped off!! Stick to the legal shops,they are cheap enough!!

Have just come back from a holiday at the Brisol. Everybodys comments were spot on. Had a marvellous time. Apartment,Hotel and facilities excellent with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas and a lovely pool, downside no entertainment worth bothering about in the Hotel.
If visiting the Old Town at night their is lots of free entertainment in the Square. Word of warning to the ladies, the street pavements are made of tiny cobbles and makes walking in high heels a bit of a problem.
Eating out at night is a most as the food is delicious. For a real treat and excellent Portuguese food try the "Blue Sky"restaurant a few yards from Tom and Jerries off the strip. (No football being shown and no Karaoke) bliss.
A new local bus service has started in Albufeira call the Giro. 3 different routes going round the resort and each trip costs 1 euro. Excellent service and the estimated time you will have to wait for a bus is 30 minutes, although we never waited more than ten minutes.

Excellent hotel and holiday

The Brisa Sol Hotel is fabulous and the location is excellent, especially if you enjoy a 10 minute stroll before dinner, we ate out every evening and didn't have one disappointing meal. There is also a Chinese opposite the hotel which we'd recommend. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the pool is cleaned for about 2 hours everyday.
There isn't a Kids Club, but there is a games room with mini golf, pool, snooker etc. If your child is around 9 or 10 and you are happy for him/her to wander to the games room then you'll will not miss a Kids Club. Our lad made quite a few friends, and formed a particularly strong friendship with a lovely boy from Liverpool, and while we were at the hotel they were joined at the hip, so we had a bit of time to ourselves.
Personnally, we would recommend Old Town as opposed to The Strip, but if you have teenagers then they would love The Strip.
Portugal is a wonderful country and we felt very safe the whole time we were there, the people are very friendly.
I'd recommend you hire a car for a few days to see more of the area. We did and it was a very pleasant experience. The driving in Portugal is easy since the motorway goes from one end of the coast to the other.
Definitely a place I would recommend, you won't be disappointed, there really is something for everyone.

i stayed in the brisa sol in august 2003 and really enjoyed it. everything was perfect, the daytime snacks from the hotel snack bar were great value for money and outdoor pool was an amazing size. the hotels facilities are also very good. i would definetly recommend this hotel as it is really clean, has very friendly staff, and great rooms. i had a pool view without paying a supplement so i wudnt bother paying for it because you might get it anyway. if you are staying at this hotel i hope you have a wonderfull holiday because i know i did. i will definetly be returning to this hotel in the future. xxx

Fantasic Chill Out time

Last summer my husband and I had the great pleasure of visiting the Brisa Sol Hotel in albuferia. It was fantastic. The staff were really friendly the rooms were comortable and spacious and the service was really realy first class. It's right in the middle of the town between the Old Square on the left and the Strip on the right. Excellent beaches, good night life and for everyone not just couples or famlies. Try the patissier on the ground floor next to the hotel. Great pool fantasic veiws and a thouroughly enjoyable trip!!

Our accomodation was initially booked in Praida de Rocha. it was awful, nothing to do, no restaurants etc. We paid to transfer to the Brisa Sol in Albufiera. we have a 3 year old boy. Our holiday company Airtours informed us The Brisa Sol was ideal and catered for children..What a lovely hotel, but sadly not for kiddies. We found ourselves quite uneasy about our stay, because of our little one running around. We will never travel with Airtours again. Full marks to the wonderful hotel, it's lovely.

We had a wonderful holiday here. Rooms, Poolside, Snack Bar, Drinks Bar were all FIRST CLASS. Staff friendly. We made new friends we still keep in touch with who have gone back every year since 1999. Great location for both old town and strip although not for those who don't like to walk whilst on holiday. Not great for children as child entertainment is not catered for. I would definately stay here again if re-visiting The Algarve.

A dream holiday!

We stayed here for a week over the Easter and found it to be a most clean, friendly and gorgeous place! The staff are really friendly, especially the maids and snack bar staff! We tried to book up again for July but to our great dissapointment its fully booked! Shame!! If you haven't been, try it!
