Hotel with charm and good staff

Enjoyed the charm of the hotel in February, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The public spaces were comfortable and inviting. The bedroom overlooking the poolside were pleasant although the bathroom need updating. The linen was changed often and the rooms were clean. The food was buffet style and good value for the cost of the holiday package. We had previouly visited the hotel many years ago and would not agree with some bad reviews written. However I would say the Oura Beach area has been completely spoilt from being charming lively base to an overcommercial tacky place with far too bars and clubs. It is what happened to the Spanish Costas, I definitely would only revisit in the winter and not after Easter and it would be impossible to sleep night or day and would be completely overcrowded.

Noisiest Hotel Ever

The hotel is situated right in the middle of what is known as 'the strip'. We had a room overlooking the carpark, which was opposite the main street where noisy discos and bars stay open until about 3 a.m. The crowds from these discos and bars don't seem to disperse sometimes until 5 - 6 a.m. If you do book this hotel, I would recommend requesting a poolside room, you may get some sleep then.

The hotel is situated bang in the middle of the very busy/noisy strip so do not accept a front facing room, ask for a pool view - this way you stand some chance of getting to sleep. The staff seem somewhat overworked.
