We stayed at the Bornit for a week over New year 2008. It's a well-furnished hotel, if a little plain, but has great facilities (indoor pool, 10-pin bowling, shop, ski hire, beauty treatments, etc). Room was about 35 sq.m so ample for a couple. 5 min walk into centre of Szklarska, mini ski lift and slope round the back of the hotel was very convenient, and about 10-min walk to main ski lift (or 15 Zl taxi ride). Setting is on the forest edge and the roof terrace view is stunning - right down the valley, mountains skirting the town centre. Breakfasts at the hotel are huge and there's a great selection of food, evening meals are fairly plain but well-prepared and the staff are very polite and friendly. Was expensive, but worth it for a memorable holiday.
