Top Local Tips for Lodz

Try an authentic dining experience Piotrkowska street has a lot of restaurants - everything from Polish to Italian to Egyptian. While the prices are good (€10 to €20 per person incl drinks for dinner), the best experience we had was when we tried a locals restaurant called Delphin. We knew it was a locals restaurant because the menu was only in Polish and no one in the restauarant spoke English....It was located just off Piotrkowska in one of the quadrangles which are to be found by following the lanes which lead off Piotrkowska. We had a delicious Beetroot soup with wantons followed by pork rissoles in an apple sauce with creamed potatoes and carrots all washed down by a fruit (non alcoholic) punch. The food was really tasty and good wholesome fare and came to the princely sum of €4.50 per person. I'd recommend trying the locals restaurants for a bit of fun.
