Top Local Tips for Leba

Visit the shifting dunes and walk back to Leba along the Baltic. It is easy to visit the Shifting Dunes in Slowinski National Park from Leba. I reccomend you take a mini-bus from the center of town (5 zloty per person). There are a couple of these sitting near the intersection of Tadeusza Kosciuszki and Wolska Polskiego by the park. From the parking lot where the mini-bus lets you off, you can pay about 3 zloty per person to take an electric train out to the dunes or you can walk the 6 kilometers. (The park admission fee includes the train ride, so you might as well ride.) Then you can climb the magnificent dunes (a couple of stories high) and walk across them to the Baltic. From there it is an 8 kilometer walk back to Leba along the beach, which is not too bad if you elect to take the electric train mentioned above.
